scarovich Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 A model I created for LEGO Ideas Billund exhibit challenge under the "Flora and Fauna" category. I have not done many animal creations before but the really ambitious part that I wanted to create this in a near life size 1:1 scale. This presented a challenge as the contest parameters limit the model to no bigger than 32 studs by 64 studs. Originally, the fawn's head was going to be sitting upright but I felt that might present some stability issues. Eventually, I settled on a sleeping pose barely fitting it within the space requirements. You can see more images of this model on LEGO Ideas. See more on Instagram or Flickr. Quote
Autumn Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Incredible! You have some real talent to make some plastic elements look so life like! Quote

Jack Sassy Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Beautiful build! I shall echo @Autumn , the build feels real, as if it would be breathing through the screen. An astounding job! Quote
FullBrickDev Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Very nice shapes in this size: I don't see real animals done in this scale in Lego a lot. Like the others have already pointed out, the build feels very real! Quote

Much appreciated. 1 hour ago, FullBrickDev said: Very nice shapes in this size: I don't see real animals done in this scale in Lego a lot. I've created larger MOCs before but, as mentioned already, never tried to pull off a 1:1 scale of really anything much less an animal. This model is as big as my dog. Quote
