Lyichir Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 (edited) By the way, recently the Lego Mario app updated to include instructions for all the new sets. Those also revealed a Toad (Pit Crew) polybag set—nothing special, just one of the pit crew Toads like in 72032 with a small computer build and a handcart with one of the purple and yellow wheels from 72036. I used those instructions to update my digital builds of the karts so far, in part to help me explore what kinds of recolors you could do for some of the karts that vary based on their drivers. So far I've had the most luck with the Standard Kart and Standard Bike, with a Luigi version of the Standard Kart and both Mario and Luigi versions of the Standard Bike. Other recolors are a little harder... Peach versions would be my priority since she's the other digi-fig so far but needing all of the necessary parts to come in the same color of pink can be slightly challenging. VinnieCannoli Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I missed a lot of this series, but I saw some people saying that it's better not to buy an electronic Mario in late 2024 because there "was" a chance they'll release a new version that can be charged. Is that true? I think it might be just a rumor. I was going to get a basic mario but not sure if i should wait or not Quote

I was going to get a basic mario but not sure if i should wait or not In early 2024 there were rumors of them doing something like that, but then the revised starter packs came out in late 2024 using the same non-rechargeable digi-figs, so I think it's unlikely that they'll do another refresh so soon. By the way, I got my first one of the Mario Kart sets today—decided to start with the Baby Mario and Baby Luigi set since it's a nice cheap one that'll pair well with the digi-figs I have. The builds of both karts are great, really cute and accurate to the game. Love the Baby Mario and Baby Luigi figs as well. Just updated the Lego Mario fig to test out the two karts—I appreciate that they have different engine sounds between the two. Quote
Izzynufc-2 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I’m still waiting for the summer 2024 piece counts Quote
Portal Out Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Oh my gosh, the $70 set is a Gameboy! This is genuinely the best case scenario, I’m so excited. The teaser shows two purple studs really prominently, any idea what those could be for? Seeing those originally made me think it was going to be a SNES. Quote

Also, wasn't there a Mario 18+ set supposed to come out in July thats like $170? As for the usual minifigs conversation, I finally managed to make a pad printed Peach minifig so I've given up on that as far as Mario Lego goes. I just hope the august sets are playsets! I loved the way they did the boo mansion and tree. Quote
a_clay_brick Posted January 9 Posted January 9 According to Brick Tap sources, it is 72046. The build will feature a Game Boy Quote

JohnTPT17 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) I have no connection to the original Gameboy - only the Advance, and even then I only played a few basic games on there. I wonder if the mention of it "featuring" a Gameboy means anything? Will it include game cartridges, like the NES? A stand for display? Or am I reading into it too much?
