Thanks for sharing. I’m interested to know what direction they will take these - the cat lover, for example, is it a crazy cat lady? The plush toy, is it a costume figure a la Care Bear from series 19, or is it an inanimate object? The bogeyman has a lot of variation in design.

I hope the astronomer kid is more interesting that just a city minifig with a telescope accessory.

Cupid also sounds exciting, if they introduce a new element with him.

Others thoughts?

I think this might be the best series in a long time. The only ones I'm not so sure about are Cat Love (wtf) and Astronomer Kid (sounds as boring as the Rockin' Horse Kid from S24)

Is 5 supposed to be Boogeyman?

Curious to see actual pictures of these.  Some of them sound quite interesting but without pictures or actual details speculation can vary greatly from reality.  Curious if the Cat Lover might come with more than one cat.  Will Wolfpack Beastmaster have the Wolfpack torso?  Pirate Quartermaster sounds interesting.  Plush toy could be anything.

Can't wait to see the Wolfpack beastmaster and pirate quartermaster.  Boogeyman could be interesting depending on how they depict it.

1. When I google 'beast master', it gives me a He-Man like figure. LOL

...

3. Yay!

4. Yay, yay, yay! More dinos!!!

...

7. Is this a political statement??? Don't get the significance of this???

...

9. What is so special about this, a printed tile? LOL

10. Love to see more Roman/ Greek mythology figures.

11. Wonder how they will shape a hamster costume???

12. Another bear???

The list sounds great to me. At least, it has a lot of potential and my expectations are high with those names. But they could turn out a number of less interesting figures to, so it's going to be interesting to see what they are.

The potential for new animal moulds here is good. The beastmaster and cat lover both suggest new animals or new moulds - I'd love to get a different cat, preferably sitting down.

As much as I like the idea of another new castle figure and pirate figure, it's probably the steampunk inventor that's most exciting. I do wish they'd create a steampunk line of sets a la Sea Cow.

But... But... Muh guessing game thread!:cry2:

... Just kidding - this is great! :excited:

1. The image in my mind is some kind of a hunter, with some kind of animal pelt on his head/belt. I imagine it could looks something like Ninjago's Akita, but in brown/green clothes, and a bear or wolf on top. Bonus points if it actually comes with a wolf... I'll probably want several!

2. I wonder what they can do to go outside of the usual pirate trimmings? I'll probably want at least one, though.

3. About time, LEGO! That's been something people have wanted for awhile. Lots of ways to go with it... Probably want at least one, maybe two or three.

4. I would have though Branchiosaurus would have been next, but Pterodactyls would have been the next dinosaur. Might get one.

5. Could go a lot of ways... Maybe it'll be green, so all of TNBC fans have an offbrand Oogey? Might get one.

6. Sounds kinda dull... Might get for parts.

7. That's... Timely, based on the rising "single cat lady" thing that's making the rounds in US politics right now. My only hope is that the torso doesn't have a lot of hair on it. Probably want one.

8. Well... There was always going to be some generic city junk in there. Might get for parts.

9. I'm sure Lego can find some way to spruce up the idea - at least give the kid a cool new accessory - but it sounds a little dull for now. Still, might get one.

10. Will it be more of a cheesy Hallmark card Cupid, or something a little more grown-up? I'll need to wait for photos... Might get one.

11. Hopefully it will come with a new, non-Friends hamster - bonus if it also has a ball. Might get one.

12. Teddy bear is where my head does first... Dinosaur would be my second, but there's already a dinosaur in the series. Maybe it'll reuse Cuddle Team Leader's head? Might get one.

There's already a couple I'm very interested in, and I'm curious about at least 10/12 of these. Overall, pretty solid lineup, I'd say! I imagine we won't get photos for a little while, though - until then, time to dream of that Wolfpack Hunter!

An intriguing list! The only one that lacks potential (of the sort I like) is the Longboarder, since I assume even the Cat Lover will be accompanied by one or more cats, perhaps with new colors/prints. Astronomer Kid might have a cool star chart tile.

Woah! This could be pretty cool if true (as it should be to make up for the lame sounding ‘minifigure’ series reportedly coming in spring)

1. Wolfpack Beastmaster: sounds like this will be a historical/castle style character using the Wolfpack insignia. ‘Beast master’ teases that we’ll see a new animal, with a wolf being the obvious choice - although not guaranteed. I’m getting the impression of a more wild spin on a hounds master though (Lego probably wants to do that trope while avoiding any connection to modern blood sports, which is a good idea), so there’s probably still a good chance of an actual wolf, but I wouldn’t rule out this character pulling a ‘dog park attendant’ and also dabbling in falconry. An early strong contender for most popular in the series.

2. Pirate Quartermaster: not my cup of tea theme-wise, but a popular subject that promises to have some extra fun details. Hopefully we’ll see a new weapon and/or headgear for this one

3. Steampunk Inventor: Lego is frankly overdue to tackle the steampunk trope. There’s just so much fun stuff they could do with the genre. I could easily see this ballooning into something bigger the way the Monkey King from series 19 did.

4. Pterodactyl Costume Fan: this was literally on my guessing game list that I never got the chance to submit!!! Nicely rounds off a trio of costumes based on the dinos from the Ideas Dinosaur Skeletons set. A must have for me personally.

5. Bogeyman: a creepy mythical creature with a lot of leeway for the designers to go whatever direction they want. Should be interesting to see the result.

6. Jetpack Racer: I bet this will be making use of the new back appliance introduced for the series 26 EVA Astronaut.

7. Cat Lover: An even stronger contender to imitate the Dog Park Attendant - fingers crossed for a new longhaired or sitting cat mold and a new color for the current cat or kitten. Hopefully they’re wielding a cat toy instead of a litter box scoop this time.

8.Longboarder: literally wrote out an entire paragraph speculating about a surfing longboard before remembering that it’s also a type of skateboard. Given size constraints I’d guess it’s the latter. Hopefully this one’s a girl since previous skateboarders were all boys.

9. Astronomer Kid: could be boring, could be interesting. Hopefully will do something new a give the kid a reflecting telescope since Lego’s done the more traditional refraction telescope in a million different ways at this point. I’m curious about the potential prints a real life space fan.

10. Cupid: I wonder if they’ll go the traditional Roman god route or settle for the modern commercial Valentines Day corruption. Could be a good chance to get the firing bow and arrow parts in new colors

11. Hamster Costume Fan: sounds very cute, will probably be well received by kids. Less interesting for animal mold fans since I can’t recall any previous animal costumes that came with the actual animal as an accessory.

12. Plush Toy: very ambiguous description, but could be interesting. I wonder if it will make use of one of the many defunct Vidiyo heads.

All and all sounds like a pretty promising series. I’m personally most excited about the beastmaster, cat lover, a pterodactyl costume.

That’s right! He was so long ago I forgot about him. He used the old spider mold that had been around for ages though, so there’s still no precedent for introducing a new (to system) animal alongside a costume cmf.

1. Wolfpack Beastmaster sounds super promising, could be as good as Falconer from Series 24!

2. Pirate Quartermaster sounds good, but hopefully with a animal this time, the previews pirates have been missing something from getting top score

7. Cat Lover that is the 3 one, should come with a new cat mould or several this time

The other ones do not sound so interesting to me, but will wait for pictures..

I like the sound of this series! What makes or breaks some of these will definitely be the accessories. Lots of potential here! Fingers crossed for a new cat print (or even a new piece with a sitting pose for instance), an interesting animal to accompany the beastmaster, and a hamster to go along with the costume!

As for the minifigs themselves, I have a feeling the steampunk inventor might end up being my favourite :excited:

I want a cat that is basically this: (same pose and same basic color scheme)

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11602pb01

But fitting with the other regular non-Friends cats we have already.

That is basically what was recently released as the life sized brick built Ideas set, so it would be very appropriate to recreate it in minifigure compatible form. Personally, I’d also love to see a cat with a pointed color scheme (what you get on Siamese, Burmese, etc.) or a calico/tortoiseshell.

1. Wolfpack Beastmaster

This is going to be the most popular ‘fig by far, especially if we also get a shield! Since a beastmaster is someone who controls/tames wild animals, I can see us getting a new wolf here. For the design of the Minifig, I suspect leather armour on the torso and legs, and padding on the arms (not unlike the falconer’s), with little to no metallic detailing. Maybe a whip or a harness (City recolour in dark brown?) in one hand and a shield in the other?
Also, I am very happy to see that LEGO does not consider DnD to be a substitute for traditional Castle content!

2. Pirate Quartermaster

Probably something like the 2015 pirate cook, but I am personally hoping that the use of “quartermaster” means that this will be a variant Bluecoat.

3. Steampunk Inventor

Finally!! Hopefully this includes a new mould for a top hat with goggles attached, and we get a couple of nice recolours (pearl gold flintlock pistol?)!

5. Bogeyman

Maybe a future series will have Baba Yaga for this figure to fight? 😈

9 hours ago, Robert8 said:

6. Jetpack Racer

Definitely sci-fi, though I wonder if LEGO are going to go in a Rocketeer direction (matching with the Steampunk inventor), or the more typical cyberpunk direction (neon colours, etc). I do hope that we get a new jetpack mould, since the existing ones are all specific to Star Wars.

9. Astronomer Kid

If we get a Classic Space reference or part (e.g. dark blue helmet) in this series, this will be where it shows up. Likely a telescope build as the accessory.

10. Cupid

Will probably use the folded wings from Monkie Kid recoloured in white; the torso may also be useful if they give him a toga (to prevent having to make a naked child Minifig! 😬). Hopefully we get a recoloured recurve bow piece and recoloured quiver to match.

I am assuming that it will be a Minifig with a couple of cats (maybe adult cat and kitten?) and a shirt with cats on it (maybe also legs with cat hair on them!), but it would be very funny if the figure is actually a female politician and exabricks is trolling!

Oh, I had not even thought of that! I went in the trainer/tamer direction, which does seem more likely given LEGO’s aversion to realistic portrayals of violence and animal cruelty, but I can definitely see us getting some fur/pelt detailing on the torso and legs!
Maybe a grey pelt over one shoulder and part of the stomach area, then down onto the legs as a sort of ‘loincloth’ over the pants? 🤔

While a recoloured falcon would be nice, thematically a wolf makes more sense (Black Falcons get a falcon, Wolfpack get a wolf); I also suspect that the animal’s quarry will be gold, rather than anything living!

Likely not, as that EVA pack is far too bulky for futuristic racing!

Either way, we have a good chance of getting hair dual-moulded with either a laurel wreath or a halo. Also, I had not considered that he could use the firing bow piece (as I really do not like it), but it would make sense for Cupid (brown bow, red/trans-red arrows?).

Not for lack of the designers’ trying, though! Hopefully this ‘fig will sell well, and we get at least a gender-swap in a future CMF - Maybe even a year of Dreamzzz could have a Steampunk theme (or we could get a new character who is a massive fan of the genre, so all of their dream creations are Steampunk)!

Ooooo, the list sounds fantatisc to me! I am curious waht kind of cat the catholic character will bring us? Get it, Catholic? CAT-holiday! Workaholic, alcoholic…. Lol

and I’m very interested to see plush toy. - i picture it as a oversized (minifigure-size) plush toy rather than costume.

i wonder if new aniamls will come with beastmaster and hamster costume fan.

I wonder if Pterandon costume fan will have reused wing-arms from Man=Bat minifigure or new wings.  I will go with the former.

Wiht dreamzzz around, it’s reallly amazing to get Boogeyman minifigure! I’m little surprised that nightmare before christmas doens’t include Boogie Oggie character.

The Pterodactyl Costume Fan sounds fun! I really like all the dinosaur costumes. Also as an Adventurers fan I can't help but think about opportunities to reuse minifig parts, so the Steampunk Inventor sounds like it has potential.

Look forward to seeing pictures.

My guess would be new wings, since the Man-Bat arms are too small for a pterodactyl. Maybe the VIDIYO dragon wings will be reused, but I am more inclined to expect spread, rather than folded, wings.
The headpiece also has the potential to be good, if it leans more towards ‘dinosaur’ and less to ‘costume’.

Hmm, maybe. It would be cool to see another minifigure with spreading arms rather than them down by sides. On other hands, spreading arms are kinda limited for use for some MOCers. It would be fantastic to see a new headdress for dinosaur fan!  I could hear T-rex and Triceratops fan stomp somehwere!

This might be my unpopular speculation but i think Astrnomer Kis is more City than Classic Space. I mean, i can’t imagine a kid with dark blue helmet. It might make sense for kid to come with telescope and maybe star chart.
