I saw someone on YouTube refer to the hamster costume as a guinea pig costume. Is it for sure a hamster?

Yeah, given the choice of sweater colors I’m pretty sure the androgynous look is 100% intentional. 
 

Shouldn’t there be a question mark next to the jet pack racer too? I’ve yet to see an image of the without the helmet yet, and that red visor doesn’t let you see much.

The initial leak's name was "Hamster Costume Fan" - so that's probably the most accurate description we have right now.

Colloquially, though - I don't think there's going to be much different in a minifigure costume version of either of those. Heck, if you put the two in from of me, I don't think I would be able to pick up on many meaningful differences besides size.

Yeah, I am very curious about that cat love’s gender identity. I am waiting for high-res picture so we could see them better.

Idon’t know where Guinea Pig word come from but i feel like other people mistranslate it or mistake it for guinea pig. Just like Toy Plush but it turns out that we will get plush collector.

Yeah, as someone who lived with both as a kid, the chubby cheeks, non-folded ears, and pink paws are definitely a hamster. Hamsters are also more marketable (especially in Asian markets, I feel like I’ve seen a lot of Japanese hamster toys cross my feed because I check out blind boxes), and I imagine their name is a little more straightforward to translate into other languages.

Honestly a great crew from the pictures! January can’t come soon enough.

Wolfpack Beastmaster looks great with the new wolf pup. Wish the sword was a different color, but he’s exactly what I would have hoped for as a Wolfpack army builder. The hood looks like it’s from the Evil Queen, so it’s great to have it more easily available.

Pirate Quartermaster is also cool with the new cockatoo. Can’t wait to see it in more detail!

Steampunk Inventor is hard to see, but the top hat and the colors are within expectations.

Pterodactyl Costume fan is probably one of my favorites. Glad to see more dino costumes!

Bogeyman is kinda interesting, and at least different from previous monsters in the Minifigures series. Looks like he comes with a bedtime story book?

Jetpack Racer is awesome! Excellent detail and the helmet mold looks like it could be used in space applications. If only it didn’t have the “3” on it…

Cat Lover is cute, but it feels like it’s more there for the cat, which isn’t in full view… So I’m hoping for a new mold for a long-haired cat.

Longboarder is decent, especially considering we haven’t had any type of skateboarder since series 6, over 10 years ago! And with a new skateboard to boot.

Astronomer Kid is okay on the coattails of Series 26. The prosthetic arm is probably the most interesting part of the figure for me.

Cupid has been a guess of mine in previous series’ guessing games, so I’m glad to see it finally show up! It looks nearly exactly to what I would have wanted, and the heart-eyes are a nice touch!

Hamster Costume Fan is cute enough, but it’s the least interesting of the figures for me this time around.

“Plush Toy” appears to be more of a squishmallow collector? Not terrible but also not very interesting to me.

Really? He has storybook? I didn’t notice that. 

If it’s true, i wonder why should he has a storybook only if he has to scare kids into behaving good?

The book was a lot more visible in the first leaked photo. It has a classic dead tree on a hill with a full moon in the background, and the word "BOO" at the bottom.

It doesnt NEED it, but its a way to clarify what the character is supposed to be. 

After all, Boogeyman is such an abstract character. There is not a definitive way of portraying him like Cupid, so the accesory might help to identify him
