This might be my unpopular speculation but i think Astrnomer Kis is more City than Classic Space. I mean, i can’t imagine a kid with dark blue helmet. It might make sense for kid to come with telescope and maybe star chart.

I think Lego knows that Classic Space figures have a huge audience, though. Just look at the prices of Rocket Boy or Space Creature - otherwise pretty basic figures, but that classic space logo makes them very desirable. I don't think anyone is expecting a full-blown classic spaceman, but if there's some kind of classic space torso in there, it'll sell.

Maybe but Space Fan from Series 20 is more like city rather. I didn’t say anything about Classic Space references in my previous post. I won’t be surprised to see a Classic Space torso in it. But i don’t think this kid would wear dark. Blue helmet or air tank as ‘costume’ while gazing skyward. Classic Space logo is fine with me.

Plus, we have Year of Space stuff this year. And the minifig pirze machine is on its way.

Of course, there are no leaked or offical pictures yet so we will wait and see.

The reaction on social media to this list is mostly positive. Lets hope S27 will be a hit

Bogeyman is the most intriguing minifigure by a long shot. Its such an abstract concept. I wonder how they are going to make clear is the Bogeymam and not some random monster

And I hope the jetpack guy will be more SciFi than City.

While a recoloured falcon would be nice, thematically a wolf makes more sense (Black Falcons get a falcon, Wolfpack get a wolf); I also suspect that the animal’s quarry will be gold, rather than anything living!

I was more speculating about potentially having a falcon (or other bird of prey) in addition to a wolf or some other animal. Simply because ‘beastmaster’ is a more ambiguous term that suggests mastery over more than one species. A guy commanding a wolf pack might more accurately be called a ‘wolf tamer’, but someone with a wolf and, say, a raven as well would be more likely to fit my idea of a ‘beast master’ (fun fact, wolves and ravens actually work together symbolically in real life!)

Maybe jetpack guy will be something like The Rocketeer? I would buy that in an attosecond if so!

I have a same thought! Just like with female Barbarian referring to Red Sonia.

In fact, thank you for mention that movie title becuase i had been searching for the movie so I could watch it… it as been two months of search….

It's on Disney+ I believe. At least that's where I watched it about a year ago, @Lion King.

I know ithis is off topic but thank you! I jsut could not remember that movie title. Anyways, it would be interesting to see jet pack racer to resemble the titular chaacter.

I would love to get two different animals, plus a Wolfpack minifigure, for $5, but I think that will be a little ambitious. I think the only example I can think of like that would be S19's Dog Sitter, but that minifigure was also pretty basic. I'd rather get a great minifigure plus one animal, than a mediocre minifigure with two animals... But if they could make it work with two, I'm all for it!

It’s about time Cupid is included! I’ve been waiting for him. I’m surprised it took so long for him to pop up.

I wonder if the plush toy is going to look a lot like the Teddy Bear Costume from Build-a-Minifigure? I’m really excited to see what this one looks like! I hope he has a matching cute little plush toy accessory lol

I was going to put pterodactyl costume and Cupid on my list for the guessing game so I I would have gotten two right also it’s been a while since we gotten a skater in a series so a longboarder is a good choice, I wonder if it will be a new part? Obviously the pirate and Wolfpack are the ones I look forward to the most but overall a pretty good selection I’d say

I wonder if Cupid will reuse the new wing piece that arrived with the DnD series, or perhaps have a version with smaller wings?

To my mind the pirate CMF figures are generally a bit lacking in accessories, so perhaps this one will come with an updated, printed, parrot?

Steampunk figure could also be a vehicle for reusing the Hidden Side raven mould as an accessory in a more realistic colour way.

Not sure which way the Cat Lover figure will go, but paws crossed for a new cat mould, either sitting, or a long haired one.

Hamster costume seems the most ‘meh’ to me, and a rather bland choice of costume. Plush toy seems the most vague to have even a mental image of.

The S19 Dog Sitter isn’t simple by any stretch of the imagination. She has dual molded arms, dual molded legs with feet and side printing, a double sided head, and a dual molded hat/hair piece with printing. She’s one of the most detailed minifigs in the series even before you take into account that her 4 accessories include 2 new molds and a recolor. The only reason to describe her as ‘simple’ is the general trend for AFOLs to turn their noses up at most City compatible characters in CMFs, and that doesn’t change the budget that went into that figure.

CMFs have only gotten more detailed since then, so I think a minifig with good prints, a standard weapon, a new animal mold, and a recolor of a preexisting animal is well with possibilities.

Hard agree. Dog sitter was a great figure with great parts, by any measure.

Guilty as charged! I suppose at least part of how I assign "value" personally is how I can integrate a particular minifigure into a scene/collection of mine - and I don't do a lot on the City front. So, fair enough!

Well this series looks very promising! The Steampunk Inventor is the one I'm most excited about, but the Beastmaster, Quartermaster and Cupid are also very welcome. Fingers-crossed Cupid has nice classical toga torso print, without too many love-specific details (hearts etc).. That would be an absolute god-send for Roman and Greek mocs/figbarfs.

I'm interested to see how the designers approach the more ambiguous figures like "Bogeyman" or "Jetpack Racer" - lots of scope for creativity.

Ah! I am not going to get my hopes up for two new/recoloured animals in a single CMF ‘fig, especially since the Minifig in-question would sell well regardless of any animal companion(s) that may be included (and I am hoping for a Wolfpack shield!). Also, I think  that the names are either guessed or translated, since the Black Falcon falconer was just called “Falconer”; so “Wolfpack Beastmaster” may just be a description rather than an official name.

I did not realise that! I would love to see LEGO develop some lore based on this, and have the Raven/Crow knights allied with the Wolfpack (maybe the Ravens are invaders from outside the main kingdom, and they use the Wolfpack to undermine the classic factions’ authority, sow discord, smuggle weapons and treasure, etc?).
If we do actually get a recoloured (and printed) raven as an accessory, I will be taking it as a hint that the Raven/Crow knights will return in some form!

I am leaning towards the piece that Golden-Winged Eagle (Monkie Kid) uses; the Jarnathan wings feel too large for Cupid.

If the pirate quartermaster does not turn out to be a Bluecoat variant, a new parrot piece is an absolute must

Hidden Side? Do you mean Dreamzzz?

Either that or something cyberpunk and obnoxiously neon! The ‘fig being a jetpack racer rather than a jetpack adventurer (and no mention of a retro theme) makes me suspect the latter (neon cyberpunk) is more likely.

He will definitely have some kind of clothing, and togas are common to clothes depictions of Cupid; it feels likely (especially since LEGO knows that the figure will sell better if he just has a plain white toga!).

8.Longboarder: literally wrote out an entire paragraph speculating about a surfing longboard before remembering that it’s also a type of skateboard. Given size constraints I’d guess it’s the latter. Hopefully this one’s a girl since previous skateboarders were all boys.

Well I wouldn´t put to much weight in the name though, since those won´t be official names and depend a lot of the one that named them that way. Also, if they would make two animals for it, which doesn´t seem impossible at least, then there is no way they would also include a shield.for it. So I would probably rather have a shield and wolf than a wolf and another animal. Unless it would be an adult and a young wolf. Well I guess I will be pretty disappointed now if it turns out to be no wolf at all...

Whoops, missed that one, or maybe I was just getting skaters and gamers mixed up, since we got multiple male gamers before the female e-sports champion in series 25.

A raven would be great and it fit very well with the Castle theme:steve:

A shield would be nice and it makes sense, however looking at the D&D series with all those parts it is not completely out of the question with 2 animals and a shield (that would of course make it one of the best figs ever)

Likelihood of animals as I see it:

1. Wolfpack Beastmaster definitely maybe even two

2. Pirate Quartermaster hopefully has one

3. Steampunk Inventor could have one

4. Pterodactyl Costume Fan most likely not

5. Bogeyman probably not, but a rat, spider etc is possible

6. Jetpack Racer no

7. Cat Lover definitely maybe even two

8. Longboarder no

9. Astronomer Kid no

10. Cupid most likely not, but can hope for a pigeon

11. Hamster Costume Fan probably not, but can hope for a hamster

12. Plush Toy no

2 definitely ‘yes’s (with a high possibility of multiples for those two) and 5 maybes is pretty good considering that series 26 only had 2 recolored robot pets and the following F-1 series is guaranteed not to have any animals at all. (Come to think of it, series 25 was clearly designed around the idea that a space themed set would be next - with no sci-fi characters at all. Is it possible we’ll see something similar but opposite here? With the designers pulling out all the stops to make these minifigs unique because they know the next set will be very monotone to everyone outside of a niche group?)
