2 definitely ‘yes’s (with a high possibility of multiples for those two) and 5 maybes is pretty good considering that series 26 only had 2 recolored robot pets and the following F-1 series is guaranteed not to have any animals at all. (Come to think of it, series 25 was clearly designed around the idea that a space themed set would be next - with no sci-fi characters at all. Is it possible we’ll see something similar but opposite here? With the designers pulling out all the stops to make these minifigs unique because they know the next set will be very monotone to everyone outside of a niche group?)

When you put it that way it seems more promising and they should have no trouble putting in 2-3 animals there  Series 26 do almost not count and I sure hope the F-1 is a misunderstanding and is something else like Mario etc:wacko:
We are still waiting for a animal themed series, at least I do

A shield would be nice and it makes sense, however looking at the D&D series with all those parts it is not completely out of the question with 2 animals and a shield (that would of course make it one of the best figs ever)

I think the DnD series is the exception that proves the rule, unfortunately; I doubt that normal CMFs will have this many accessories/animals/etc. 🫤

Could not the D&D "dog" be used as a wolf puppy?
LEGO-71047-Dungeons-and-Dragons-Minifigu

According to the designers, it is intended to be a wolf cub.

Could they reuse the Fornite mask for the Toy Plush?

I think that is very unlikely, the design is specially made for that figure and if the toy plush will be a bear I would bet it will be a new mould, not that one.

For me it just doesn´t look like a wolf but more like a Dog. I think the main reason might be that the ears are to big for a wolf. Aside from that it could maybe work - but of course you still can use it as a wolf puppy

8. Longboarder no

Well I could see them adding a Sea animal there, though with the board probably beeing pretty big, it might be likely that there is none.

Well possible, but wouldn´t take it granted. Don´t think the chance for two is really high though.

Cupid they could go a few different ways with. A bow this a heart arrowhead is probably guaranteed either way. But I wonder if he'll be an adult or a kid as depictions vary. I'd rather the more classical Grecian Eros look than the Cherub look. I imagine he'll wear white but if he's more valentine's card based he might be in pink.

I’m littl bit concerned about Cupid’s printing…  Since Cupid doesn’t wer anything but white toga against yellow.  Maybe yellow printing on white torso will make it look ‘fake tan’.

1- sounds interesting. I think he will have a new wolf, but he could be a werewolf knight as well

2- a fancy pirate with a map? A compass? And a pistol?

3- high hat with goggles would make sense. Some crazy tool to go along with him/her

4- ptero suit. Did we already see some of these dino pieces in some of the pictures of the vidiyo line that never made it? Anyway i just hope i can use him to make me a Sauron minifig (marvel character)

5- let’s hope he really looks creepy

6- maybe sci-fi? Maybe city? Maybe watersports?

7- you ain’t a lover if you don’t have multiple. A sitting cat is what we all want i guess.

8- longboards are just stretched skateboards, right? Probably a beach boulevard kinda type of fig

9- my guess is that this will be the worst fig. With some novelty space logo somewhere.

10- d&d birdwings, short legs and maybe a new hairpiece?

11- i can see them giving us a hamster to go along with him, but a recolor of something veggie/flower piece could also be. To be a hamster i think you need a short person.

12- a recolor of a costume suit in super bright colors with a rainbow, heart or sun printed somewhere?

when do we get more details?

I assumed it was a surfboard and googled it and then a skateboard showed up, but if is also is a surfboard a sea animal is possible yes :classic:

4. Pterodactyl Costume Fan most likely not

The pterodactyl could have a fish.

also I hope the color for this series is red because we haven’t had a red colored series since 2012…

but it will probably be green or blue again.

Yup, that’s what i thought too. Other animal costumes come with animals like Spider Costume with spider, Cat Costme with fish, Elephant Suit with a mouse. I won’t be surprised that pteranodoncostume comes empty-handed like T-rex and Triceratops costume fans.

The color of the boxes have been mainly darker colors I think.

I mean, there have only been four boxed series so far. Half of them were licensed withblego having little control of color choices, and of the other two, one was the space themed series where a darker color was a thematically appropriate choice. The last one is series 25, which had yellow boxes. Don’t really think there’s enough there to claim any sort of trend.

I bet it's gonna be maroon

Nah, too close to the red accents over black base on the D&D series. The most important thing about the color from a marketing perspective is making sure that potential customers will instantly recognize that a new series has been added to shelves – that means high contrast with the previous series that could still be on shelves. Add onto that, the spring series is apparently an F1 licensed one, and I just checked their logo - it’s red as well. Even if they put it on a white background Lego is going to want something in the bright blue or green range to contrast with those two red logos (yellow could also work, but series 25 is too recent).

We all know its going to be orange again

Sure why not? But no pink, gray, silver, brown, lavender, ice blue, viridian, cerulean, saffron, cinnabar, emerald green, royal blue, pale yellow, and more colors yet.

I was hoping the long boarder included a medal, but apparently it is not yet an olympic sport. I would really love for Lego to continue the sports champions sub theme in the CMF.

Skateboarding is an Olympic sport, according to 2024 SUmmr Olympic.  Unlesss it’s a surfboard, then yup, it’s not there yet.

Honestly a little plastic window like they put on pasta boxes would be nice for the CMF boxes
As for the color of the box it’ll probably be orange, green or teal?

Well, I made the same assumption as you did. Well then no animal I guess.

That is surprisingly short to be honest, lol.

Exactly. And in the end there is really no reason that the colours of the boxes would be different from the ones the bags had, so I only see a continuation of the old colours system there.

I can't remember who said it, but awhile ago, someone said something along the lines of "the only thing that the bag color of a CMF does for me is change the color of trash in my garbage can." Or something like that. That's basically where I'm at with it - except that I can recycle the cardboard!

I think the most compelling point in favor of Roman god vs. modern commercialism appearance is that the version of Cupid most often show in current valentines merchandise looks like a cherub with a diaper. And, personally, if I were a Lego designer I wouldn’t want to open the can of worms that putting out an adult diaper piece would create - most AFOLs who really want it are going to do questionable things with it. A classic Roman toga is a whole lot safer, and would probably have a lot more people buying multiples for historical builds.

Look at what they did with Medusa

She was a woman with snakes instead of hair. That's it. But the CMF is monstrous half human-half snake hydrid with snakes instead of hair

Don't get me wrong. S10 Medusa is one of my favorite CMF ever, but  she is very far from being accurate to greek mythology

True enough, but it’s worth pointing out that leaning into the reptilian aspect on Medusa allowed them to do more interesting prints and parts that made the character distinct beyond just her hair piece (especially when you consider that the Roman Emperor in series 9 came out only a couple of years earlier). Her serpentine ‘leg’ piece is potentially useful for other mythical monsters. In contrast, both potential versions of Cupid would come with similar wings and archery equipment, the difference would be one wearing a toga (which we haven’t seen in awhile) that would be appealing on its own to various collectors, and the other being a distinctly non-infant minifig that’s naked except for a diaper - which is obviously less versatile.

I seriously hope they don‘t go for a putto-like cupid depiction. I’ve hated these putrid things with a fiery passion since childhood :laugh_hard: Simple reason: We were learning about local hunting traditions in primary school and watched a clip of some effed-up movie where a hunter with a pack of dogs was spying on a putto in a forest, only for that thing to stare at him like a maniac, and then causing the dogs to attack their owner. The camera zooms in on the still staring putto while you can hear the hunter getting ripped apart by his dogs.

…Don’t ask me what the point or message of that was (respect nature?), but it sure traumatised 10-year old me :snicker:
