[MOC] Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser Midi Scale - Alternate Build of 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter

The model is 11.2cm wide, 27.2cm long, 10.1cm tall with stand. Or 4.4 inches wide, 10.7 inches long, 4.0 inches all with stand.

When I was designing the V-Wing’s hull, the first iteration had angled wedge hull plates. I had to scrap that design in the end as I needed the angled technic connectors for the rotating radiator wings. Because I really liked the angled hull plates, I started to explore other designs that can take advantage of this feature. When I thought about it, since I have done most of Galactic Republic starfighters, why not the Venator!

The Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser had a hull characterized by two wedge shapes and a dorsal superstructure near the aft containing two bridge towers. The port tower was the starfighter operations command bridge, while the starboard tower served as a primary helm and command bridge. The superstructure was built using SNOT method.

The Venator-Class was the starfighter carrier for the republic, with a complement of 420 different space crafts carried across different hangars. The forward section of the attack cruiser featured a 500-meter flight deck down the middle with doors open on the top, represented by two 1x8 red door rail plates. This flight deck enabled the Venator-class to rapidly launch hundreds of fighters.

I only have enough pieces for the top hull of the attack cruiser, had to make do with the remaining pieces for its underside. A 2x4 medium azure plate represents the ventral hangar bay entrance.

On this model, there are four primary thrusters, two secondary thrusters, mounted from the hyperdrive. The healthy amount of 2x2 round bricks from Jedi Bob’s Starfighter comes in handy again, and 3x3 round pieces are used to make the display stand.
