Auroralampinen Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 well now the pressure release valve mechanism and button is added to the truck and it works perfectly:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Well update i little bit started working on the superstructure yesterday and the pneumatics worked really slowly on the superstructure this was not a problem with the chassis pneumatics but i did do little bit of testing and result the roof pump system was not totaly functional it worked with chassis pneumatics so i didint consider this a big problem but when i tested with another pump wich i pumped with my hand and not with linkage mechanism it worked much better and the roof button didint fully compress the pumps so it wasn't huge problem with the chassis pneumatics but it is big problem with the whole sets pneumatics so now i have slightly bigger problem because those in model pumps are burried deep and is very difficult to get access those pumps so i have to now think how i will go foward but i will not stop the project so now i will put the pumps in the superstructure and then i have to think solutions for those chassis pumps:) Quote

Auroralampinen Posted October 11, 2024 Author Posted October 11, 2024 Well i taked few days of from this build because the pump system really bothers me now so much so i will now think what i will do with this project im little bit sad now how this turned so i will think better solutions or something different Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 12, 2024 Author Posted October 12, 2024 well i got in my head idea to build 2 piece boom for excavator here is concept Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 13, 2024 Author Posted October 13, 2024 well after the truck pneumatic pump fiasco i was depressed and sad for 4 days and did not build anything but now i yesterday again stared something so lets see how big of a fiasco this will be and the truck is now in long hiatus until i get the energy again to fix the pumps so this week was a slightly a roller coaster Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 13, 2024 Author Posted October 13, 2024 well now this is packet to the brim of functions i did go my local swimming hall today to little bit refresh my ideas and getting more interesting ideas and i got a few ideas on my head yes this is my style of refresh and meditate of things;) Quote
bruh Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Wow! That front axle module is absolutely PACKED! Looks great, and glad you got out of your builder’s block :) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 17, 2024 Author Posted October 17, 2024 well here is the progress of the new project so far this is really dense and this has been filled to the brim of functions so sneak peek of the functions this has so far 4 functions controlled by gearbox Functions so far- -steering with rotating steering wheel and hand of god steering -awd drivedrain with central differential gearbox functions- -turning seat -raise and lowering of the front boom -rear superstructure turning -rear outriggers This will have more functions and those functions are pneumatic so this will include pneumatics and i have thinked to put v6 engine in this model so good progress so far:) Quote
bruh Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Wow. You are quite talented at packing the functions in! If I tried to do all the functions you are incorporating, my vehicle would be twice as large. Great job. Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 17, 2024 Author Posted October 17, 2024 well now im happy with the chassis now every inch is squeezed for functions now this has also 4 speed gearbox:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 18, 2024 Author Posted October 18, 2024 well now the cab is starting to get in the shape:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 18, 2024 Author Posted October 18, 2024 (edited) well now the cab shape is done and mechanical stuff is basically done now its just pneumatics and little bit of body shaping and now this is packet to the brim of functions Current functions- -Steering with hand of god steering knob and functioning steering wheel -awd drivedrain with central differential Gearbox functions- -rotating seat -rear superstructure turning -front superstructure raising and lowering -rear outriggers And 4 speed gearbox similar to my 42177 alternative build the pug but little bit tuned and with v6 Future functions Pneumaticaly operating front superstructure attachment tilting -Pneumaticaly operating front log grapple -Pneumaticaly operating rear superstructure lower boom section -Pneumaticaly operating rear superstructure upper boom section -Pneumaticaly operating rear superstructure bucket function So this will be even more packet to the brim of functions even tough this is now fully packet with functions i did build this like a brick so nothing is falling out and this weights about 2kg and now every inch is squeezed for functions so the chassis has no room for any more new functions;) Edited October 18, 2024 by Auroralampinen Added steering and awd to the function list Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 19, 2024 Author Posted October 19, 2024 well i spended this morning sorting the space orange color pieces into one place:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 19, 2024 Author Posted October 19, 2024 Well now i started building the front boom and the gearbox function to lift and lower that was not strong enought so i will add more pneumatics but luckily i was originaly planned the 4 gearbox function to be hood opener(thats why the seat rotating function is in that gearbox) so now i just have to little bit rework some stuff but this was not a full catastrophe like the truck pumps were;) Quote

Auroralampinen Posted October 19, 2024 Author Posted October 19, 2024 well now the front boom works like a charm:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 And i have a cool story from my backround when i was on technical school and our class teacher came one day our class and telled there would be a robot ice hockey competition between technical schools and i joined to build the robots and i was the only one who was expertising with gear rations and weird mechanisms so other our class robot builder teams struggled while i was building weird and wacky mechanisms for the ice hockey launching mechanism and at the end i found solution and teacher was amazed of my weird and wacky mechanism and the final solution did win the robot ice hockey competition and i was so proud of my self at that time and we did held a celebration afterwards so my childhood years playing with lego technic had worked magics so its always cool to have a nerd at school;) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 little bit of rework in the engine room:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 well i wasn't happy with the first 4 speed gearbox it was little bit too big and bulky so i went back to drawingboard and demolished the old one and created much smaller and compact and more efficient 4 speed gearbox now the speed difference in all gears is more clearly visible:) Just now, Auroralampinen said: well i wasn't happy with the first 4 speed gearbox it was little bit too big and bulky so i went back to drawingboard and demolished the old one and created much smaller and compact and more efficient 4 speed gearbox now the speed difference in all gears is more clearly visible:) And now this rolls really smoothly even in the fast first gear wow now im really impressed with my gearbox desing Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 well now the engine room looks much better and works thousand times better:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 Well here is the 4 speed gearbox free building guide. And here is all the pieces what you need:) Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 And input to this gearbox is the middle axle on the back and output is those 2 yellow 7L axles from the clutches Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 In case if you are wondering yes this is fully compatible with dnr selector and what i have heard from the lego 42056 porsche reviews the porsche had a problematic gearbox wich cracked and didnt work smoothly so maybe this can work as a replacement gearbox for the porsche 42056:) Quote
bruh Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Nice! When I have the newer clutch gears, I will totally build this. Is it smooth/doesn’t have any problems? Quote
