Tumbler beleuchtet Seite 2

What´s up Lego Technic and Batman fans,

beside my cars and the Venator, the Tumbler was one of my first projects I started years ago. I watched the Batman movie with Christian Bale very often and thought many hours about this awesome „car“ or like the police officer said „black tank“. Like all of my MOCs this one should also have functions and imitate the real one as good as possible. Therefore the Tumbler is beside my Venator MOC number 2 among my 10 Lego life's work and of course motorized. And there are many reasons to do that….

This MOC consists of seven modules and has therefore the following functions:

1.The Tumbler:

Weight: 2,9 kg      Length: 49cm      Width: 35cm      Height: 18cm

1. Drive ( powered by 2 XL-motores )

2. Steering ( powered by 1 servo motor )

The Tumbler Steering Right

3. Four shooting pins ( powered by 1 M-motor )

The Tumbler Shooting

4. Openable roof ( powered by 1 M-motor )

The Tumbler Roof closed 1

The Tumbler Roof open 1

5. Moving wings on the roof and side ( powered by 1 M-motor )

Spoiler unten

6. Front LED-Lights ( powered by 5 Lego LED-Lights )

Tumbler Front dunkel 1

7. Full front and back suspension

8. Moving steering wheel

9. Adjustable seats

Of course, the Tumbler has more functions if you've seen "Batman Begins", but the battery box I use (Mould King) only has six ports, so I couldn't realize the other two functions :(

Two more functions would be:

1. Moving side wings (in front of the rear tires)

2. Dropping chains

2.The bat:

1. Openable wings protecting the controler   2. Rotating head   3. Nodding head   4. Shining eyes ( two light bricks )

3.The Joker:

1. Rotating head   2. Illuminated head ( 1 light brick )   3. Weapon stock on the back: the Joker's hammer, two pistols, two missile launchers and ammunition and dynamite

4.The little bat:

1. Batman symbol on the ceiling with police officer ( 1 light brick )   2. Adjustable ward

I´ll get my car Batsymbol

5.The bat cave

1. Illuminated cave ( 1 light brick )   2. Eight bats and details in the walls

Bathöhle beleuchtet

6.Batman vs Joker

1. Illuminated Batman ( 1 light brick )   2. Illuminated Joker ( 1 light brick )   3. Rotating Joker

7.Batman and his legendary sentence

1. Legendary sentence and two bats

8.All together

Video is on YouTube now!!!

For the Tumbler:

The universal joint should be made of metal, otherwise the plastic universal joint will break from time to time if you change direction too quickly. I bought it from:

https://www.greengeckoworkshop.com/de-de/products/metal-lego-technic-universal-joint-3l-4-or-10pcs

All motors and lights are Lego products, with the exception of the battery box and controler. This is a Mould King product that can be perfectly combined with the Lego power motors. I bought it from:

https://www.bausteinreich.de/products/2-4ghz-empfanger-akkubox-mit-fernbedienung

otherwise

https://www.amazon.de/Mould-King-wiederaufladbarer-Fernbedienung-programmierbar/dp/B09KY8DMGH

If you want to light up the model, I used seven light-colored bricks from "Game of Bricks":

https://gameofbricks.eu/products/led-light-bricks-for-lego-customization

Instructions for this MOC are currently not available.

If I find enough customers, I will create one with BrickLink Studio 2.0.

Costs for the instructions: 60 Euro

More than 15 customers →55 Euro

More than 30 customers →50 Euro

I hope guys you like this MOC and I am looking forward to your feedback. Criticism and suggestions for improvement are always welcome!!!

Any chances for video showing the functions?

Will come...

I'm going to look at how this attempt on looking for customers will end. Because I have never seen someone who says that will make instructions, if there will be enough potential customers and not showing the model fully working.

Thank you :classic:. It's the first Tumbler that opens like in the movie above!!! All parts together maybe 5000 parts? Only the Tumbler maybe 2500?

I hope I can make a video soon... I also know it's risky, but I'm afraid of piracy on rebrickable like it happened with Thijs de Boer or Aniomylone with his Venator MOC and just selling one instruction for 2 years of work is not enough for me...

I'm  selling instructions for years at Rebrickable, and it does not matter if you will ask 1€ or 100€, if thieves would see potential in selling your model, it will be just bought from you.

Therefore I want to get in touch with MouldKing or another company so they can make a set out of it before someone else does and makes the move.... but for this big step I need help :def_shrug:

That’s actually a really good idea. Then, that will reduce risks of piracy while still making you money!

  • 2 weeks later...

I wouldnt rely on any chinese brand to respect IP besides CaDA.. so at worst even if you would reach out to them, chances are high they will screw you.

Wrote you a pm with some recommendations..

Now the video is online ^^, sorry for the long wait ;)

Why not doing a kickstarter to sell your instructon? But i have to admit your complete marketing strategy isn't keeping up with the quality of your build. Featured you on my tiny channel. ;-)

That’s larger than either of my channels! Good for you! And maptec, I hope you can get some money for your instructions.
