Objective: Aurora Squadron Leader. She is one of the best fighter pilots the Rebellion and New Republic can rely on.
Character: Bizzie's sister is quite serious and a true leader!

Objective: He's been a backup on Endor and now wants to prove himself. Recently, he's been promoted to the Aurora Squadron!
Character: He's a funny guy but a little bit cynical. He's good friends with Bizzy.

» Ten hours on patrol... I'd give a fortune for a stretch! What we doing here again? In the middle of nowhere? «

» As the Squadron Leader said, there have been rumors about increased Imperial Remnant activity out here. «

» I don't buy it, Biz. I mean this is Alliance space now. C'mon! Where are we... er... Velus system. Look! The Core is ours. Coruscant is the only world in this region left to be controlled by the Imps. «

» You should tell the Empire, Partt. Space is vast. How many jumps did we make? Twelve? And what about the hundreds of lightyears and star systems we did not cover? «

» Trill-deep-boop «

» Yeah exactly, RQ! It's so easy to enter systems undetected. The Imps are out there, I feel it. «

» Cut the chatter. I'm picking-up a signal! «

» 'Rora Three, incoming confirmed. «

» Da-deep-weeep-quup «

» Thanks RQ. Seems like a weak distress code. Alliance signature. It's coming from that little moon there... «

» That’s no moon... «

» What do you mean?! «

» I mean technically it's no moon. It's not orbiting a planet. I'd say, looking at its elliptical trajectory around the central star, it's a dwarf planet. «

» I'm starting to regret I promoted you two to be my wingmen. You're like an old couple! Now concentrate and increase to full throttle! «

» Roger, Laura Riedl – I mean 'Rora Leader! (Have you ever tried to say “Roger Aurora Leader” three times in a row?!) «

» Copy, 'Rora Leader! «

» Hullo? Anyone out there? T -fzz-  is Velusian space force unit one-two-two. My DF-11 has been str -fzz- ion discharge and -fzz- running out -fzz- oxygen. I repeat. I need -fzz- ... Hyperdrive is -fzz fzz- position point-nine-two-five! Please -fzz- -one out there? «

» Scourge-Fighter! Disabled and orbiting that moon! «

» I just said it's not a moon. Whatever. This could be ... um... a trap. Pirates tend to use DF-11's! «

» We are obliged to help. But keep your eyes open. Aurora Six? Drop back. Aurora Three stand by.

Velusian pilot. This is Captain Zebborah Walsh from the New Republic forces! We will help you! Aurora Three, send your Astromech. «

» RQ? Get ready. «

 

After RQ repaired the poor pilots scorched energy coupling, the DF-11 is soon spaceborne again. 

» I thank you so much, dear friends. I knew the Rebel Alliance would help! «

» You mentioned an ion discharge? «

» Yes my dear! I tried to escape but they hit me and - «

» Who hit you?! «

» The Imperials, of course. I ran into a patrol of TIEs when I was trying to escape the planetary embargo. I deployed an ion mine but the discharge overloaded my primary systems too. I managed to take cover here around this little moon. «

» It's not a - arrgh - forget it. «

» So Imperials are operating in this system? «

» Of course, my dear. «

» You escort us to our base and report everything to our Commander! Looks like we found 'em!  «

Hello and welcome!

Spin-off from the Raiders story, where in chapter 03 the Aurora Squadron has been introduced.

Aurora Squadron comes whenever needed to secure and defend peace and freedom in the Galaxy!

The build to be scored here is the DF-11 Scourge Starfighter, that has been recently introduced by the video game Star Wars Outlaws!

I'm quite proud of it, especially that I build it quickly on two evenings (as a response to the DS challenging us in L9 )

I hope it's ok when I put it also in the main thread

Very nice entry... lovely spaceships

What a great ship the DF-11 is! I love the overall rusty look and the yellow (or flame orange?) matches well with the grey and brown. The phat thursters surely give this ship some speed. And I remember I had those exhaust pipes as a kid!

I also like that the studs of the moon dwarf planet are visible in the shot with the DF-11.

Thank you very much! 

The worn look comes with some original and some of my own custom stickers 

I think the color is called bright light orange and the other is dark red, btw.

Had to google it. It's from the 6646 screaming patriot from 1991 

At least once after 33 years these exhaust pipes came handy.
