BMW and Yamaha scale? ~~ 1:5 scale?

Oh man, they are lazy :D So many motorcycles and they are bringing this one back :)

"Hey, how about we do the Panigale again - but bigger?"

"Great! Raises all round!"

3x13 taper panel in red is new.

But I can't find any more rare or new parts. Even wheel is same with BMW.

Might have 2395 and 2403 in Red, those were sorely missing

Hmm, I have been on the fence about getting one of these 1:5 motorcycles, but I'm a Ducati fan. I'll wait until we have little more information before making a decision, but I'm interested. I liked the functions of the Yamaha, but the blue wheels look funny to my eyes.

Hmm, interesting! One one level, this looks rather uninspired (unless there's impressive mechanics inside), but at the same time, it's less stickered than the BMW, and less weird-looking than the Yamaha, so I'd consider this to be possibly the most attractive one yet. It is at least mildly interesting for it to have a V engine, with (maybe?) longer connecting rods and scale?

Yes it has, at the rear. The red bionicle eyes are attached to it. And in the middle, and in the front.
BTW, is there a new inverted panel in the top-middle (fueltank area) or is that a trick of the light?

Yeah I was wondering too if we're seeing more kinds of concave panels. 

That 20T gear really should've been recoloured for this set, and same goes for the red 16T gear. I'm usually not one to complain about these kinds of things but when such a glaringly wrong colour is clearly visible on the exterior, they really should do it properly and recolour the parts.

As a Ducati fan and owner, this is awesome. I understand the desire for different types of motorcycles in the lineup but a giant 1:5 scale Ducati is a no-brainer for LEGO.

I see quite a few comments about it being the new Panigale V2 but I think it's the V4. This set seems to have winglets which the V2 does not have, and there is no rear exiting exhaust.

Yeah, I agree. Also, it seems to make sense that they would like to release the most up to date version of their top of the line bike.

Oh boy... I'm in the middle of developing a V4 1:5 motorcycle (custom) at the moment, and I don't like competition 
I wonder how the engine+gearbox will look like, because that's where the other 1:5 model lack. Or rather suck.

The TLG model looks underwhelming, but I always preferred naked superbikes.

Yeah, if companies made more 3rd party rims in any size we like we could make any scale vehicles in technic. but I can't find any companies that would do that, and I dont want to get into 3d printing.

I have to say some chinese companies are at least doing alternative rim designs - I may better not post a picture but one thing I can tell: a 5-star rim looks soooo much better than the regular motorcycle rim from LEGO..  So yes I would wish for more variety there aswell.

Could have at least chosen a different model like the Superleggera or Diavel instead of another all-red Panigale V2. And they do a ton of recolored parts for stupid botanical flowers, but cannot recolor one azure gear for a high priced collectors set like this?! Even a tan 20T double bevel would have looked miles better. And what's with the lazy BMW rims and tires third time in a row? Every other company will decrease the price the more parts are manufactured, but only LEGO keeps increasing the prices even after the tooling costs have been covered.

PLEASE PLEASE @The Lego Group give this a 6 speed gearbox and I pinkie promise ill buy it

Otherwise I would only build this out of parts that I already own (unless it has new functional elements maybe)

Because I already have the yamaha and do I really need another 2 wheel hubs, front forks, disc brake large, wheels and tyres? I can't think of a reason.

Half the price and 600 pcs more with correct rims and slick tires of course, but the biggest selling toy company couldn't do it for it's premium licensing partner.

Aww, come on, flowers are beautiful! May I cite from one of my favorite movies? "Oddball : Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?"

Flowers also sell so much better ... TLG simply surfs the botanical revenue wave - you guys are the motor heads, come on, you like dirt, don't you? You will accept a lill' azure here and there, won't you? And blue pins? Color is ... beautiful.

Oh my. Well, I am so happy that now there are >true alternative< companies out there, should TLG go down the toilet someday in the (near) future. I have my act together: Used, old school bricklinked or eBayed parts will more than suffice for me.

The clones have good looking bikes, but are completely covered by System parts (hence the high párt count). Nothing inside is visible, totally pointless technical features because of that. In many cases I suspect there is no actual stepper mechanism, only a knob gear. It would be nice to see some reviews.

I didn't want to post the specific brand and model here to let you guys research yourself, but since most people just find excuses for LEGO's laziness, here are the facts of this particular V4S model:

Stepper included, gearbox and fake engine, even comes with lighting and no excessive amount of system bricks...

There's also a review from a guy named Don available on YT.
