"Campioni in festa" is an event organized by Ducati that happened yesterday night. The set was exposed there.
I could not find more photos up to now...
Can we ask these guys a review?

I think that would be kind of useless. True they understand motorcycles, but they probably don't understand what's possible with lego technic and what's not, so they cannot tell how good the lego representation is. All they could probably tell is how good it looks, and things like "wow, cool, it even has suspension and gearbox!". They probably wouldn't say, "oh, it's the same as in the previous lego bike"..

Here is speed building

Some kind of unclear policy for new products - on the one hand, the instructions are kept secret, and on the other hand, the reviews show these instructions with lists of parts and step-by-step assembly of the model. Why not post the instructions right now, instead of waiting for the start of sales.

It's just infuriating when they can't even match the sticker background with the element color. Why not make transparent ones instead when most of it are just text/logos? Covering up red matte panels with whole surface shiny stickers is pretty dumb. Same goes for adding brake hoses not connected to the brake levers.

I imagine it might come down to a question of cost. Can imagine it's cheaper to print colour onto white background sticker sheet. Also printing onto clear won't solve the shiny surface onto matte, the clear will still have a shiny surface.

That asides, I love the look of this bike but it's out of my price range unfortunately for me.

At least the colors would match. It would also be beneficial if the sticker wouldn't have to cover the whole part. Even better, proper transfer stickers that last a decade.

Oh so the conrods are not new but adapted using a '1x1 round plate with hollow stud'  and a 'bar with ball joint', fair enough.

I think 72008 is new in DBG or are those just thin 1x2 beams in the rear swing arm?

I think for a lot of Lego customers white-backed stickers might be preferred since they don't show smudges/fingerprints, which can be more offputting than a slight color variance. While clear-backed decals can have a more professional look when applied well, that relies on a certain level of expertise on the part of builders that probably doesn't apply to the majority of buyers.

How is it possible that LEGO sends those sets to creators who barely have followers? O_o

The guy's main channel is in Hungarian with ~70k followers, recently he started to make English reviews as well.

I cannot like the new transmission. Sure, it's realistic, but its scale is way off. That huge gearbox for 3+N. Pretty much the same 3+N could be much more compact with the older system. Maybe not that energy efficient, but since it's a manual model, it doesn't have to be (unless it doesn't jam).

Nice review as always!

I'm not into motorcycles much but looks like this is the best of the three 1:5 scale ones, although the differences are small. The engine is definitely interesting and something new, even if it lacks the realism of old style engine. It looks good enough to me, but I'm not one to nitpick on looks anyway so others might disagree. It's nowhere near interesting enough for myself to consider buying, but that's mostly due to subject matter and not because I think it's a bad set.

At first this bike was "big no" for me. But after seeing various reviews, i kind of buckeld in and went for it.

So far I'm not disappointed.

Uwe Wabra designs are always veryy nice!

I'm very happy with this one! The building experience is adventurous to say the least.

Considering some "leap of faith" steps in the instructions, you get a great looking model.

i did have to make soome minor changes. But then again: that what Lego is all about.

1: recoloring red and blue gears with black and DBG
2: redoing steer with flexcable.
3: closing up windscreen.
4: lowering stand.
Only 12 parts extra.

Spoiler

Used the paddock stand from Run3 rebrickable, give it a professional look.

Nice, but you forgot the licensed stickers. Without them you can't tell that it's a Ducati Panigale. ;)
Did anyone notice that there's apparently an unwritten rule at TLG that bevel gears shouldn't mesh with spur gears? It's consistent in all the years since the new spur gear versions of 12T, 16T, 20T, etc. appeared.

@R0Sch I hardly ever use stickers.

They do not ad anyting essential to the model.

It was just a joke. LEGO also thinks the same way, hence the optional stickers. Prints are way too durable for display models anyway and limit part reusability. :sarcasm_smug:
