With only 2 figures and 500 pieces I would put it in the 60 to 70 dollar range at most and would hope it's much cheaper. Still, the set looks very solid. It might end up being a long term display piece if it does turn out as nice as the Gunship. Quote

Looks more like a cruiser than a tank, and would be quite easy to mod it into such, but I think it looks plenty sweet just the way it is. Although it is a bit minifig light, one or two more clones would of made the set so much better. Hopefully LEGO will make up for it with a new clone battle pack in the not too distant future. I also think that the tank should come with a Jedi to make it more offical set. The tank was a great idea because the last time lego made a tank was a couple of years ago. I can't wait to buy it. pedro Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Excellent review Christian - your photos are nice and sharp and you've captured the real points of interest. I like this set more now that I've seen your pictures of it. The tank looks like a fun build and formidable when done. Having two clones in there is a great bonus. Obviously we all hope for more but... ah, well! I'm not sold on the stickers but the set has been designed in such a way leaving them off won't hurt the overall aesthetic. Good stuff! I'm not sure if I'll buy this set from the right off... I'm working on MOC's at the moment but would consider picking it up in a few months time I reckon. We'll see. Cheers! Quote

Casval Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Sadly, althought the tank itself is pretty darn cool, I would probably only get the set for its minifigures. The wing pods on my RGS need Clones in them! I would put some of my Phase II Clones in the tank in trade though. I wish the set came with a legit commander, not just a guy wearing the commander trappings. Give us Commander Fordo(which would kinda suck actually since it would kinda take away from Fox). Quote

I like the commanders, but they need some clones to command. Lego is putting too many Jedi and commanders in the sets, and not enough regular clones. I look for this on S@H just now, but they didn't have it. Might pick it up when they do. Quote
canadianD Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 This....looks.....AWESOME! i can't wait to get it in the US but i know al the non serious builders that frequent my TARGET lego section will snap it up first and beg there parents to spend fifty bucks,(sorry about that).But i agree this looks a tad big and the turret gun is different from the beam cannon thingy.theres alot of equipment thats pretty cool even though the tank is big i like all the space it has.Nice review too short sweep and simple! Maybe as a TRU exclusive, maybe as a S@H exclusive. But I doubt it. I think it's a regular part of the CW assortment. So stay cool people, it'll come eventually. Let's not turn this into the same panic that arose around the 7666 Hoth Rebel Base and Castle Dwarves Mine. I am really surprised that all of the other sets except this one are available here. Hopefully once the holiday season roles around, this will be available. I really like the detail of the tank and how you can seat both Clone Troopers. Another fig would have been nice, but whatever. I think that it looks a little short and stubby, but that's just my opinion. All in all, a great set. Quote

Price: 8/10 Sure this thing is great, but I think its overpriced at 569 kr. (approx. $120). When build it feels more like a 450 kr. Set. Final verdict: 9/10 Despite some flaws this thing is definitely recommended, and it looks great on your shelf, too ;) what do you mean by oversized... What part is oversized? Quote
