[Freebuild] Embervale Advent Calendar 2024 - Storytime

Time flies… and it's already Advent Calendar season!

Starting this Sunday, I’ll update this topic daily with a small build.
This year, the theme is Storytime, and as always, I will let my main GoH characters - Alrune (an Elven mage) and Dresghar (her uncle) - comment the builds.

Thank you so much for your enthousiasm! I have not been able to build a lot this year...but I could not miss the Advent Calendar.

Day 1 : Fireplace

Dresghar - "As the air grows colder and the nights stretch longer, what feels better than the warmth of a roaring fire?"

Thank you so much! The tile is a custom one from Briquestore. I don't usually use customs...but this one looked so perfect for what I had in mind!

Day 2 : Dresghar with Storybook

Dresghar - "Stories come alive in the dance of firelight... Myths and legends intertwine, waiting to be told. Tonight, I shall weave one such tale." 
Alrune - "Make it brief, please. Some of us have arcane experiments to finish."

A very strong start with the fireplace.

I like that technique you used on the lower sides, with the upside-down half-arch bricks combined with the tubes resting on the ground.

It looks we have quite a dapper fellow to keep us entertained in front of this fireplace!

@GeoBrick Thank you very much! I'm so glad the half-arch bricks finally came in light bley...they are awesome for castle decor details!

@Umbra-Manis Always. Yet it's the first time, I reckon, that I use non-black legs and torso for a minifigure of him!

Day 3 : Biscuits

Dresghar - "Knowing the patience of my audience - or rather, their lack of it - I brought some treats..."

Nice use of those upside down arches to pair with the rail plates on the fireplace!  And do I smell cookies?

@Kai NRG Thank you very much, I'm glad you like the fireplace...and the cookies! Where I come from, there is no Advent Season without cookies.

Day 4 : Friends of Fur and Feather

Dresghar - "I see that even our companions of fur and feather have joined us - an audience far more attentive than certain other individuals present." 
Mélusine the Cat - "Miaow!" 
Alrune - "Sorry, Uncle. She says she's only there for the biscuits." 

(The tilted tile is REALLY bothering me, but I was unable to re-take the photos...)

These are great to see again.  The fireplace looks great nice use of those corner pieces upside down.  I think the tilted tile give the build character, looks more realistic.  Nice job on these builds.

What a fluffy looking rug, great idea to sink the cat in it a bit, that really helps it look cozy.

Day 5 : Music Corner

Dresghar - "Perhaps a musical prelude would set the perfect tone for my tale. Might you pass me the lute, honey?" 
Alrune - "No. Your ‘musical preludes’ inevitably spiral into hour-long epic sagas." 
Dresghar - "Your indifference to art is as tragic as it is profound!"

Can I ask where the red flower comes from? I don't think I've encountered that element.

@GeoBrick Thank you very much! The red flower comes from Friends sets from ten years ago (it's this one on BL).

I really like how cohesive and yet unique all these pieces of furniture are.
