December 1, 2024Dec 1 Can someone figure out how the tipping function works? How is it connected to the gear? Nevermind, someone just posted a good suggestion. Edited December 1, 2024Dec 1 by Gumalca

December 1, 2024Dec 1 @anyUser Nice work! I'm also building it in Studio and came up with the same linkage solution with the mini-LA. Btw the 1x1 liftarm (spacer) in yellow is new. Edited December 1, 2024Dec 1 by R0Sch
December 1, 2024Dec 1 Steering setup could be pretty basic: (I don't have the 13L frame) The most surprising so far appears to be the wheel cover (from small Bugatti, Part 2459 - new in black?) that is mounted askew. The cabin is simple, effective and stable. The front basically is a sheet on its own. Why do they use this part in black on the door? It's available from the Ford in Dark/Earth Blue. Truck appears - too - dark and dull with dark grey. I decided to add a streak of colour to it: Edited December 1, 2024Dec 1 by anyUser
December 1, 2024Dec 1 Still WIP but here's the Studio file: 42203.io Official images are also up.https://www.lego.com/cdn/cs/set/assets/blt1d1c1124a9c4b046/42203_360_SoMe.mp4

How did you find out about the interior of the cabin? (I gave up) I think there is a brown axle used for door not the red 3L axle-pin-with friction Edited December 1, 2024Dec 1 by anyUser

December 3, 2024Dec 3 9 hours ago, Maaboo the Witch said: Why is this thing named "Tipping Dump Truck"? Seems redundant. As it's just a resized version of the 42147 Dump Truck. I would say it is some kind of SEO/marketing hack. According to rebrickable, the 42147 Dunp Truck has nearly 80k views. All the other small technic sets only have 40k views. ...supporting my theory, "a set that performs, gets repeated by TLG over and over again". And people using the search term "Dump Truck alternates" (or similar) will find this set. ...just a theory. Edited December 3, 2024Dec 3 by pow
December 3, 2024Dec 3 Why does TLC keep releasing trucks with racing tyres? On 12/1/2024 at 11:59 AM, Ngoc Nguyen said: Is the chassis just like, 2 frames slapped together? Well, one could also see it as a good thing that those new frames make things simpler, instead of more complicated. 17 hours ago, Maaboo the Witch said: Why is this thing named "Tipping Dump Truck"? Seems redundant. The only reason I can think of is that "tipping truck" is American English and "dump truck" is British English, or vice versa. (I'm not enough into English to know this.)

December 7, 2024Dec 7 Made some more progress on the truck. Didn't find a place for all the parts yet. Unfortunately no fake engine or tilting cabin even though there would have been plenty of room. :(https://brickset.com/inventories/42203-1

I have used 9L ones. It's not easily seem from your rendering but better from below in the digital model that the front wheels are protunding.

Silly me, I even had them left over and didn't notice. 11L in lbg are not even in the part inventory.
