Ngoc Nguyen Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) Looks like the only functions are rotating blade connected to flat 4 engine using cam pieces and movable flaps. Also, it doesn't seem to have the common strobe light configures (red-green-white). Those lights appear in earlier small aircrafts, like 42040 Fire Plane. What a pity. SNIPE Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I think this is maybe the first time i've seen a flat4 engine in a lego set Quote
Auroralampinen Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 More pictures from jb spielwaren :) Ok now this is exiting how the propellor mechanism works because you push on side that beam is this similar mechanism to the yellow technic fire plane Quote

gyenesvi Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I think think this looks cool for the size, something for a change, and has interesting mechanics. Wonder how smooth those cam parts let the propeller spin though, they do have some friction.. Quote

Gumalca Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 This is clearly my favorite of the upcoming wave. It has only one real function, but we don't get such a push beam rotator function everyday, so it's interesting. Also the size of the model meets the expectation for a 333 parts set, thanks to some good old long beams. I would have been fine with another color scheme as I think I have enough white already. But it fits the topic so it's alright. Quote
Oh_Hi_Mao Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 For me this is the best set from winter-spring wave. Quote

Hopefully we'll see 13L and 5L eventually. Ironically, I was about 95% sure that the black one on the tail was a 9L, and I was getting all excited! Then I scroll down, see better pictures, and realize that it's an 11, but then I see that there's actually still a 9L in it, just in white! Quote

That was my thought too, but nevertheless this is my favorite 2025 set so far. 8 hours ago, paul_delahaye said: Is it not more likely that push beam adjusts the flappy bits on the wings? zoo Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Aeroplanes are cool and this also looks like a sweet parts pack. I like it a lot. Quote

R0Sch Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) 94% done: 42198.io The functions are cool and plenty for this size. Great gears pack too. For me the most interesting set from January. Edited December 2, 2024 by R0Sch Quote

Gumalca Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 1 hour ago, R0Sch said: 94% done: 42198.io It definitely makes sense to only have spur gears hear for the model, but it will seriously limit alternate building. Not even a single bevel gear? Damn! How are we supposed to build a helicopter from that? Quote

NV Lego technic Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Nice that we have 20t clutch gears of that sort, las time they appeared was in the nacsar camaro if I'm not mistaken.
