I'll be damned, we've all been discharged from the Aslume.

Guess I'll kick things off with this 2 second edit in Paint of what the new Superman minifigure would look like with red hips for the trunks, and boy does it make a world of difference. I would love to know what Lego's thought process was here. It's really weird since they've almost always done updated designs to match whatever the current suit is in the comics, like the New 52 Batman minifigure from 2015-16, the Rebirth minifigure during the Rebirth era, and then the Hush Batsuit in 2021 when Batman started wearing that again from 2018 onwards. The funny thing is is that Superman's trunks have been back in the comics since 2018 as well, not to mention Corenswet's suit having them too, so Lego can't hide behind either one as an excuse here. Plus, the torso literally has the red trunk belt loops instead of doing something like the Reborn suit with the red belt and yellow buckle, so the trunks were clearly supposed to be there.

TL;DR Super easy fix, but why did it have to be fixed in the first place.

The Aslume has fallen. Billions must go sane.

I’m praying for a GL mech either this summer (with Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl) or next January (with Hal Jordan, and John Stewart/ Sinestro)

Lex stole 60% of the minifigure budget, and that’s as bad as six tens.

LEGO DC Superheroes sets in 2025, and DC properties as they directly relate to LEGO.

Well, unlike the Aslume thread with over 200 pages, this one will end up with like 20.

Still holding out a bit of hope for a Superman set, but I'm not expecting it at this point.

Otherwise, we could just rename the thread to 76300 Arkham Asylum 2025 - Rumors & Discussion.

Come on @CloneCommando99. Don't do things like that.

Of you guys make me constantly come in and moderate this topic, it'll just end up locked for long stretches of time.

The Aslume thread will reopen too, but with the caveat to stop discussing world history/politics.

Was that leaked Corenswet Supes figure confirmed to be fake then?

Please don't. I am glad you closed this insane historical-political thread. I am genuinely afraid of all that stuff.

As far as I remember, it was confirmed to be fake. But it may have been a very early leak, for it looked so good.

Speaking of Superman's red trunks: on one hand, they are the main reason why Lego DC should do printed legs. Legs with trunks but without printing look disgraceful.

On the other hand, leg printing on TDK Batman minifigures may be a little excessive, in my opinion

The guy who posted the photo said that the Superman minifigure was a custom, if I am correct

:enough: You were one of the main contributors to its closing....

Anyway, shame that figure was fake. It's genuinely astonishing that there might be zero tie in sets for DC's supposed big relaunch.

Yeah, even the leakers are torn on whether we'll get sets—some say that the Fantastic Four set is the only Super Heroes set based on a 2025 movie, but others say that that's not accurate and we might still get a set.

I hope that DC is slightly more secretive about Superman, and that's why leakers haven't yet heard anything. Not to mention we don't have 2HY lists for any theme except Ninjago, and a few random sets from other themes like Star Wars.

Saying that, I'm not holding out much hope. I'm gonna be devastatingly disappointed if we don't get anything though, I am so excited for this movie.

Ironic, considering we‘re talking about Supes here

I refuse to believe they were referring to the mech in the press announcement. Not only does the set get released half a year before the movie does, it has no movie branding, which it should have to count as a tie-in  I‘ve never before seen a product that was advertised as a movie tie-in and didn‘t have the movie’s branding. Sometimes you do see tie-ins where the product has little to do with the movie, but at the very least it features the correct logo!

So, until we have the full set lists for every theme, I‘m still hoping for at least one set.

  • No Superman movie sets.
  • Lex Luthor gets a highly detailed figure while Superman is underdesigned.
  • Superman needs a mech to fight Lex, making him appear the weaker of the two
  • Five years since our last Superman set

Guys, what if Lex Luthor secretly owns Lego? 🤔

Nightmare scenario - Lego does make a single tie-in set for the Superman movie:

Spoiler

it's a Brickheadz 2-pack

Yeah, the effects of the DCEU sets flopping is insane. Those must  have been monumental shelf-warmers

Man I'm so scared of it getting permanently shut. I's so lore integral

Me neither. Feels like trolling. But anyway, it's time for the Aslume to reopen. Let's see if people follow the one imposed rule.

I'm still optimistic, after all we had the press announcement saying Lego was one of the merchandising partners for the movie.

Please stop these invalid accusations. I may joke a little, but it's not my fault no one understands my points. Let's stop all those thread wars and discuss Lego DC

There's nothing to discuss. LEGO DC is barely breathing. Closer to death than to life.

Let's wait for Arkham images then. Then there will be something to discuss
