No Supes sets, but an AC? Not exactly a slap in the face, but that would feel pretty wrong. That said, I don't think DC is a big enough theme at the moment to event warrant an AC. Minecraft and Jurassic World both have a better case, based on the far superior number of yearly sets alone!

AC?

No Superman sets is really disappointing.

I'm on the fence with the new Batcave. There's been so many over the years that the only way I'm going to be hyped for another one would be for a D2C. Its ultimately going to come down to which minifigures are included. BTAS would be my first preference but I wouldn't mind the Dark Knight trilogy if covered more of the missing cast. I'm not really interested in another comics version. I assume the character choices would just be the safe options we always get and many of them will probably carry over to the Arkham Asylum D2C.

Is it too late to reconsider the direction of this thread @Clone OPatra? It's already proven difficult for some to maintain their composure,

What do you suggest?

Some memes and joking around is ok as long as they're somewhat on track. The seperate Aslume is still open.

Ultimately one of my key reasons for moderating is so that it feels like a welcoming enough place for people who want to discuss DC LEGO to come in and discuss DC LEGO without finding a hodgepodge of random in-jokes and completely unassociated discussion. I don't want it be unfun, and yeah it sucks that there isn't that much actual DC LEGO to discuss for 2025, but that's just how it is.

Also I take the no Superman 2025 retail sets to mean... Corenswet SDCC figure confirmed.

Copium: 76305 and 76306 are August 2025 sets that are LOOSELY based on Superman (2025) that reuse the figure from the Mech.

What'll likely happen: 76305 and 76306 are a Batman Advent Calendar and a Batman 4+ set that connects to the 4+ Batcave from this year.

Kind of a 2016 Suicide Squad situation.

A Batman 4+ set is almost certainly coming, considering past years! An advent calendar would be a nice surprise, but the other set is more likely to be a mech (maybe for the Joker or Harley, or possibly Mr. Freeze). 🫤

How bout nothing at all

It's soon time to ghost this thread since we're far away from news but I'd buy a hypothethical bat calendar that contains an expensive set's figures. More so if it came with comic cover prints.

COMIC cmf 2 i would buy the whole lot

Maybe it’ll be a 4+ Batwing with Superman and Bizarro… or Lex Luthor… Joker with some kryptonite?

And it looks like the coolest Batmobile ever.

(Even though West's and Keaton's have more sauce, I think Battinson's fits the movie perfectly. It's also featured in easily the coolest Batmobile scene ever.)

I dunno. It's what I THOUGHT I wanted in a batmobile- more like a real car than something that doesn't seem like it can turn, or is basically just a tank- but it comes off... I dunno. It works for the unvierse, but it's not something I'd want him driving in the comics.

Snyder's Batmobile may actually be the one I think works best for a mainline batman, despite the driver being an elseworlds/fallen Batman.

Minecraft calendar would be fun. Since a lot of the mobs don't use specialized parts (or the only specialized part is their head), it could get away with the majority of the days being characters. Honestly, if you gave me a calender with Steve, Alex, the main mobs, and like Furnace/crafting table/bed, it could be my first lego minecraft purchase.

I thought they don't do that anymore.

I maintain that the mech IS our superman tie in. If the movie wasn't coming out, that would be a jonkler mech. A jech, if you will.

I wish I was in the universe where Superman was getting the movie set and the Fantastic Four got a comic set that loosely tied in with their movie instead of the other way around.

As a Batman fan above all, I’ll never complain about another Batcave but I do feel for those who really wanted a Superman set.

Hopefully we get a decent fig selection but I fear it will just reuse the current Harley, Joker, and Mr Freeze. $100 is right on the borderline of “could be good, could be pretty meh”.

I’m in denial, but didn’t the Warner licensing representative confirm a month ago that LEGO is a partner in the new Superman movie?? I refuse to believe that a Superman, a SUPERMAN, movie won’t get any LEGO sets…

Apparently there’s no Marvel advent calendar next year. With the sudden influx of figures we’ll be getting from Arkham and the Batcave could it be possible that there’ll be a Batman advent calendar instead?

ha that would be the day! damn Lego!

The Batcave can be interesting if it comes with new and exciting figures. I feel like that is what's gonna make or. break it. If it's based on the animated series, I'd like to get a new hair piece for Poison Ivy should she be included. Here are some ideal figure lineups for various scenarios of what this could be based off of;

Batman the Animated Series - Batman,  Dick Grayson Robin, Alfred, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, the Riddler

The Nolan trilogy - Batman, Bruce Wayne with bandage wrap on his waist, scars on body variant, Alfred, Ra's Al Ghul, Talia Al Ghul, Scarecrow, x2 League of Shadow henchmen

Comics - Batman, Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Cassandra Cain Batgirl, Mad Hatter, Clayface, Jason Todd Red Hood, Commissioner Gordon

This is just a wiahlist but it'd be cool to get this down the line.

It would be nice to finally get a fresh hairpiece for Ivy instead of the same basic one she normally uses. If she's based on the Animated Series I think Jean Grey's hair color would also work well on her.

I hope it's an advent calendar, then doing annual advent calendars + the magazine figures when at all times they have less than a dozen figures to reuse is funny

Very funny how quickly hope was snuffed out, the bright kryptonite is now dull

Whilst the Superman set news is more than a little disappointing, the news of a new batcave hopefully means there’s a better chance at a decent figure count for Arkham with a few more figures that can be reused.

Weirdly enough there seems to be a consistent-ish pattern with previous comic batcave sets where two villains are included (Penguin & Freeze in 2006, Ivy & Bane in 2012, Two-Face & Clayface in 2019) so part of me expects a similar case here (although yes that may be a little too optimistic to hope for). It’d be nice to see something like a previously made villain paired with one we haven’t had before like Riddler & Hush or Scarecrow & Mad Hatter.

All the previous batcaves like this have also featured Robin, but again might be too much to hope for. If he were to be featured it’d be nice to see the more modern comic designs for either Tim or Damian.

Mad Hatter is 100% overdue. He’d better be in Arkham or I will join in the riot. Azrael and Spoiler would also be great, but I’m not holding my breathe.

I think we could potentially see 5-9 figures in the Batcave and 15-25 in Arkham. Ideally, I think something like this could work:

Batcave: Batman (reuse), Damien Wayne Robin, Batgirl, Alfred (new head, otherwise purist), Bruce Wayne (purist), Riddler, Two Face

Arkham Asylum: Batman (reuse), Damien Wayne Robin (reuse from Batcave), Batgirl (reuse from Batcave), Nightwing, Red Robin, Spoiler, Azrael, Joker (reuse), Harley Quinn (reuse), Scarecrow, Riddler (reuse from Batcave), Two Face (reuse from Batcave), Mr Freeze (reuse), Poison Ivy (green skin), Mad Hatter, Clayface (brickbuilt), Commissioner Gordon, Jeremiah Arkham (purist), Jonathan Crane (purist), Harleen Quinzel, Hugo Strange, Harvey Bullock (purist), Renee Montoya (purist), Aaron Cash (purist), Bartholomew Wolper (purist), nameless guard.

That sucks. Are 76305 or 76306 coming next year?

Dang it.

Here’s a list of references I’d like to see in Arkham.

1) painted Yellow Lantern logo in Scarecrow’s cell (if he’s included)

2) Explosive gel bat logo

3) Jarro 1 by 1 tile

4) TMNT poster

5) Joker looking thoughtfully at a metropolis poster (he’s thinking of moving there)

6) Black Canary concert poster

7) a rock for Robin/ Nightwing (ifykyk)

8) Flying Grayson poster

9) Joker logging his taxes in his cell

10) Death Metal poster (dark Knights death metal)
