I found a new set, Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor. It comes with a Superman with cloth cape and Lex Luthor Minifigs. Set 76302. Here's a link to it on brickset.

https://brickset.com/sets/76302-1/Superman-Mech-vs-Lex-Luthor

Fake news. That’s Batman in his Super-Bat suit fighting pre-acid fall Joker in his Joker armor.

We‘ll see how interesting those two sets actually are  With 12 rumoured minifigs Arkham kinda has to have some new prints at least, but that doesn‘t guarantee any new characters (or long-awaited updates). And the Batcave could also mostly be a rehash. Call me a downer, but the last few years don‘t exactly spark confidence

Was it confirmed that it would be 12 minifigures? Last I remember was just listed as 10+.

12 would be nice, though. It’s a lot better than the “10+” that were supposed to come in the Death Star playset/Star Destroyer.

It’s rumored to be 12+. X-Mansion was rumored to be 10+, which is probably where you’re getting that number from.

I want to say that there is just no super heroes advent calendar next year, so don't hope for a batman or superman one.

Are there any advent calendars in 2025?

I doubt Arkham is going to be like the recent Shadowbox and Gotham City display for two reasons: 1. The only Batman films in which Arkham has any presence are Batman Forever and Batman and Robin and there’s a snowballs chance in hell of them getting sets 2. We already know it’s going to have over 12 minifigures, which means it’s not just going to be some artsy thing.

And then there’s the Batcave which, and maybe I’m being overtly hopeful here, seems to be our first large scale playset that isn’t just some Batmobile on a long time.

I could be wrong, I don’t think I am, but it seems like we’re actually getting Batman playsets again which means they’re trying to actually draw in kids and not just adults looking to collect display pieces. That’s a step in the right direction.

I'm not referring to the shadow box aspect, likewise the skyline. Nor do I believe that either future set has a cinematic tie in. However you feel about the build of the shadow box, the figures were mediocre in character choice and execution. Likewise the skyline. To me as builds the cave is missing a trick or two and the skyline is amazing.

The Batman cave may not have been comic based, but it had all of the signature features of a Batcave. As for the upcoming one being the first in a long time, the mech is the first Superman set in a very long time and if it wasn't for Luthor it would be something of a letdown. There's a certain irony to be had that three of the best DC minifigures in recent years have been SuperLex, Val-Zod and the most recent Lex. None of them came in a traditional playset

With regards to attracting kids to the theme; 4+ sets would like a word.

It’s gonna be hard to be less interesting than a giant black box with a Batman logo cut out of it.

If DC gets a comic based CMF in 2026, I will eat every minifigure. That’s how confident I am it won’t happen.

I hope this ages poorly, lol.

Kind of really hoping the bat cave is based on the animated series, and that it comes with a Robin with new hair mould to represent his cartoon appearance. Besides Robin I really want Killer Croc based off of his animated appearance to be included.

I thought it was "10-12" (Which if Yavin and the ISD are anything to go off of is leaker speak for "like 8"), not over 12.

And counterpoint- the shadow box had a fair number of figures too.

Yes. Surprisingly Harry Potter will receive another one, despite the 2022 one still being on shelves here.

Difficult economic times in the country of "Mountain", it seems.

That was probably it, thanks.

I’m expecting four brand new never seen before villains in Athan if the 12 minifigures are to be believed.  If we are continuing to get new sets we don’t have to cram every villain into this set, so hopefully the Batcave villains will be different to the villains in AA.

If we get one, I’ll consider a victory. If the number is indeed only 12, I expect all will be repeats of characters we’ve already gotten.

I wish i had your optimism. My stretch goal is that Robin shows up in this or the batcave.

...which rock have you been living under the last 4 or so years? Can I join you? :laugh_hard: The way things have been going, we can consider it a win if we get Riddler or Robin!

A Clayface movie is officially in the works. Not sure what it’ll end up being rated, but our odds of getting a Clayface figure might have just gone up.

I just looked this up because I hadn't heard about this. This raises so many questions:

1)  When did Clayface become popular enough to get a film? He a cool villain and well known but he's not  what I would imagine first comes to mind when people think Batman villain.

2) What universe does this take place in? If it takes place in the Robert Patterson Batman universe I could see possibly getting a set for it ( although a bit of a long stretch). Seems more likely than getting a set from Gunn's universe anytime soon since we aren't getting any superman movie sets :hmpf_bad:. I really hope that the rumor about that wasn't true. It just seems baffling that Warner brothers saying its partnering with Dc for the Superman movie means we're getting nothing more than the mech set.

That's what I remember too, so I went into the Aslume thread to see. The news dropped on Nov. 6th when THELEGOBATMAN reported:

"76300 Arkham Asylum D2C

Priced at 400€, releases in Summer 2025.

Includes over 10 minifigures."

People then proceeded to offer lists of 10 possible minifigs that could be included in the set. They were able to keep that up for a whole page-and-a-half before falling back into jonkling (I also remember at the time seeing 10+ minifigs being reported on Instagram).

Anyway, I too would like to know if there has been new info since then that Arkham will include 12+ minifigs.

Maybe because of Marvel's Venom 3, which suddenly became very successful in theaters? Sure Venom isn't much of a shapeshifter, but still...

It also raises the following question: what Clayface we are talking about? Preston Payne, perhaps?

I’ve been trying to find where I got 12 from, but I can’t. I guess it’s just a number I made up. Sorry about the confusion.

Creature Commandos is currently getting a series so I don’t think popularity is a prerequisite.

I’d assume it takes places in either the DCU main since they already have a Clayface cast or is another elseworld film. I doubt it’s in the Reeves Universe when 1) the character hasn’t been introduced yet in that universe 2) that character wouldn’t fit into that universe 3) if it was, the press release would probably mention it. As far as sets are related though, it’s probably a moot point since it’ll probably be rated R if DC’s other villain franchises are anything to go off of. I’m just thinking Lego might pull another 2016 Suicide Squad and throw him in a regular Batman set to cash in his likely rise in popularity.
