Oh, I thought you meant movie tie-in sets!  Well yeah, the Clayface movie might result in him showing up in a generic Batman set that year, but it‘d likely be another buildable figure again anyway

Yeah, there’s no way we’re getting Clayface movie sets. The film will probably be rated R, given how DC has handled their other villain solo projects. 

You’re probably right that Lego would go the buildable figure route instead of making a minifigure or a bigfig for him. I’d be down for any of those three, tbh. Anything to take a break from Joker and Harley.

I still hate the guts of whoever made up that Tower of Fate „rumour“. I feel that has done lasting damage to our perception of the DC theme.

I’m thankfully to whoever started that rumor because “Tower of Fate” is such a fun way to describe obviously false rumors and to talk about things that will never happen. Creature Commandos? Peacemaker? Deadpool? They’re all included in the upcoming Tower of Fate.

Mike Flanagan pitched a Clayface movie some time ago to DC. It's been rumoured for at least a year, if not much longer than that. So Gunn just let him do his thing.

I love this so much. DC has such a vast array of characters, and it's so refreshing that the focus is on the writers and directors instead of shared universe world-building .

We’re getting a Creature Commandos series right now, so clearly Gunn and company aren’t basing their decisions on who is popular. The DCEU tried making content based on what was popular and it sucked. I much prefer the DCU method of making content based on what stories the creators want to tell and the quality of the script.

Superman trailer is rumored to drop next week. Looking forward to seeing all the potential sets Lego isn’t going to make.

Clayface Movie is confirmed to release September 2026. 

I feel like The Batman 2 is going to be delayed to 2027, therefore, we won't get LEGO Batman 2 sets until then

BUT, Maybe we could get A Clayface figure in a LEGO 2026 Batman set as an unofficial tie in to the Clayface film?

 Very unfortunate choice of date for that Clayface film.

The Batman part II hasn’t even finished the first draft of the script. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets delayed again, or just never happens.

It’ll be the moment of truth for whether Guy Gardner’s suit looks good or not. I swear if Gunn tries to pull some Earth One crap with the GL costumes I’m gonna go hunting.

There were plenty of issues. Thinking “hey, we have the big three heroes so this will be a hit” was definitely one of them. Heck, the pitches for the first two films of the universe were literally “dark gritty Batman reboot made money, let’s do the same for Superman” and “Superman and Batman, everyone will see that film.”

Damn, The Batman Part II was originally going to come out next year, delaying it even more would suck so immensely

So yeah, you're not saying that it sucked BECAUSE it featured popular characters- as evidenced by two films you mentioned making quite a lot of money and just being poorly received. You're saying they did poorly because they assumed having popular characters was an effective substitute for quality. If Batman V superman had had the same issues but starred two lesser known heroes, it wouldn't be any better, it'd just also have had no one see it.

Not the armored pauldrons.... though I'll be honest, seeing this made me look up the designs again and Superman's suit itself feels like what a late MCU superman would look like, not a huge fan of it either.

The thing is, it would look infinitely better if they had switched around the green and the white.

I just hope Lego enjoys taking all my money 💵, because I’m buying those sets day one. Doesn’t even matter if the builds suck, the minifigures suck, or the sets are way overpriced. I will be throwing money at Lego the day those sets drop.
