Lyichir Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Since nobody else seems to be starting this topic, I figured I might as well! vizzitor Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I think I'm going to have to collect all the plushies scattered about some of the sets, as well as the animals and the mini hats for them. I only just noticed that 42655 has a lot of food, cookwear, glasses, bowls etc. stuffed in the roof space. That's a really good idea to get different types of food and stuff into the set. There's also a seemingly new character with my sister's name that I'll more than likely have to get. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 So far, nothing from 2025 Friends is screaming out at me to purchase it, or at least reverse engineer it like the Castle B&B did. We will have to see what late spring / summer holds, but I'll bet they'll be something much more up my alley then! Quote
El Garfio Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I like: 42670 Heartlake City Apartments and Stores 42655 Restaurant and Cooking School But I find them expensive I will wait until a hard discount or I will try to copy some elements with my huge stock of bulk pieces Quote
karrit Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 There's a few sets I'm interested in. Will be skipping the Tree House one since it's very similar to the last one. Apartments, Restaurant, Beekeeper, maybe the Camper, a couple of the small food stand ones will be on my wishlist. Also the Suitcase one, I always get those. Quote
Lyichir Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 Just made a post on Brickset's news article about these sets, so to save time I'll copy my thoughts here: Quote Oh man... there's so much to love about these sets. It'll be hard to fit it all into just one comment. Guinea pigs! Corgis! Surfing corgis! New baby mold! There was already a mold for young children, but this baby fits in strollers and such like regular minifig babies. Bedroom sets for Autumn and Paisley, following the four from two years ago. They even match the colors of Autumn and Paisley's complete house sets, which is a great touch. Love Autumn's new ferret, too! The sweet shop is SO cute! I love the candy mascot characters, Gigi's colorful hair, and what looks like a new mold for some of the candy—a 1x1x2/3 dome! Been waiting on a part like that for years! Eniko the veterinarian has a port wine stain (a vascular skin discoloration), continuing the Friends theme's commitment to diversity. Love the shaggy dog family in that set as well! The treehouse has some cool DIY customization features, and I love the little room for the raccoon (complete with a bed, a portrait by Liann, and an accumulating hoard of goodies). The cooking school set is so cool! Sara from the water park set returns here (featuring her colostomy bag covered by a non-swimwear outfit). Chef Marta's fish tattoo is cool, I love the new face for Churro the cat, and I love the way the new "yarn ball" piece from the latest CMF series looks in cool yellow for a bowl of noodles! The airport set looks great and devotes more space to the airport itself than most previous City or Friends sets. Love the colors too. The salon is really cute with lots of different hairstyle options. The camper van is also really cute, with sleeping bags, a kitchenette, and a working toilet similar to the one from Ninjago City Markets. The Beekeeper's House and Flower Garden set is GORGEOUS! I love how the two pets in the set seem to match their owners (especially the bunny's bushy mustache). The house/shop is gorgeous and I love the beehives and hexagonal flower beds in the garden. The Apartments and Stores set looks amazing, with sidewalks that match sets like 41732 and 41742. Love the garage door shutters for the laundromat, and the crank that spins both the washer and dryer and the pottery wheel next door. The painted lady-style houses look gorgeous too. Quote
Russell844 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 42670 Heartlake City Apartments and Stores Probably my favorite Friends set ever. It so reminds me of San Francisco. Quote

Am I missing any others in the 2025 sets? On 12/12/2024 at 9:39 AM, Lyichir said: Gigi's colorful hair I noticed that's the first reuse of the Izzie hairpiece outside of Dreamzzz Izzie/Dizzie. I can't say I'm that familiar with all the Friends characters, so I had to check, but it seems Gigi is a new character. It's a shame because the price of the hair will probably be quite exorbitant on B&P. Quote
Lemerbrix Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 So, as 2025 draws closer, I want to take a look at my first in-hand impressions of the new years sets. Given that I’m not as active on eurobricks anymore (I’m considering possibly leaving the site) I’ll make the most of this (sorry that got a bit personal) so I was at Walmart, and saw that they had set 42645 out already. Given that it was cheap, and the only 2025 set they had, I purchased it. (I’m currently on vacation, so sorry for location) this set is pretty good, and is great value! If I had one complaint, I would say that the “eating” function isn’t that great, but otherwise I think this set is nice for $17! The new “squishmallow” mold is adorable, and I would recommend. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) @Lemerbrix if you leave, it'll be sad to see you go. Good luck wherever you go, have fun whatever you do, and may your brown bricks never be brittle, the presents you get always rattle, and your life be full of Danish ABS plastic forevermore!
