YellowFrog Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 (edited) In the book of Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve, London is a steampunk city that roams the wastelands, consuming the smaller cities. The smaller city is faster but less powerful. Will the great London catch up? Featuring a city perched on caterpillar tracks, London is one of the greats of the Mortal Engines world. Two arms sweep forwards, reaching out to funnel its next prey into the front of the city, where the mouth would open to consume them. The city's architecture takes inspiration from the original, but is futuristic, with a glass walkway over the city, towering smokestacks, and symbols of status on the roofs of the buildings, with a statue of their mayor in the centre. On the back of the city, they expand outwards, using the materials from the cities they devour to house their growing popualtion. The control centre, at the front, has windows in the shape of large eyes, instilling fear into their prey. Their prey, a smaller and more modern city, races on three whells, smokestacks billowing as they charge forwards, their mayoral statue proudly standing on their roof. Retailing for $39.99 USD, this entry is for the medium category ($30 - $80). To see a video overview, see here: Edited December 20, 2024 by YellowFrog Quote
