Murdoch17 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Here we see a typical flying saucer of Martian origin, landed on the surface of some place called Roswell, New Mexico. It seems the ship's pilot, Marvin, has something to say to us: "I claim this planet in the name of Mars! Isn't that lovely?" The rear of the UFO... but since I've identified it as Martian flying saucer, doesn't that make it an IFO? (Identified Flying Object) The vessel stands Marvin at the controls quite comfortably, with sadly no room to spare for the Martian flag. Looks like you're going to have to leave it behind, Marvin! The underside of the vessel, with the landing struts and some sort of engine nozzles visible. Thoughts, comments, questions, and so on appreciated! Quote
icm Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 A very solid use of those old parts for their intended use case. Quote
Renny The Spaceman Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 That's perfect! Great moc for the best Looney Tune Quote
GeoBrick Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 That's cute. I feel you have Marvin spot on, especially with that helmet. On the saucer, isn't there a lack of storage space for the deadray gun underneath the fuselage? Just askin'... Quote
danth Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Nice! I like the single stud wide tailfin centered with jumper plates. Using inverted slopes to match the slope of the hull is pretty smart. Quote

That's actually the official LEGO Marvin the Martian figure from the Looney Tunes CMF from 2021. As for the ray gun, there was no room for it, as was the case with the flag @GeoBrick. 1 hour ago, danth said: Nice! I like the single stud wide tailfin centered with jumper plates. TeddytheSpoon Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Nice model! It'd be tempting to call it simplistic, but after all, that's exactly what the design calls for, so you nailed it! How many pieces is it, out of interest? Quote

It's 109 parts, not counting Marvin or his flag. I have an LDD file of the vessel by itself if you want it. Quote
