I've been tinkering with non-rectangular build for classic TIE wings. I'm happy with the outcome. Feedback on textures to add and alternate parts are welcomed:

 

I used these curved 10 x 1 slope bricks to hide the gaps. There's a half-sized wing within the bigger one.

 

Four pieces of part 77850 connected the black triangles to the hub in the center.
