POTC 6 is my last hope when it comes to Lego pirates. But instead of a big expensive icons set i hope for a wave of playsets and battlepacks

I seriosly hope POTC 6 never sees a light of day. They already did enough damage to the film franchise whit 4th and 5ft, why rub salt in the wounds and resurrect a zombie? 
Shoudlve stopped at the Trilogy.

Same here. The sets (especially the ships) can easily be converted to any pirate or imperial faction.

In endurance scale.

With a single Jack sparrow minifigure.

Ahahahaha, of course it will be a expensive 18+ set with a single minifigure  I'll happily skip that!

Next year is shaping up to be another disappointing year and with both my favorite themes Star Wars and Pirates doing so bad, I'll at least save a lot of money for other hobbies.

Oh an One Piece are not the pirates i am waiting for

Got myself the Black Pearl designed by MOCYourBricks(YouTube) , manufactured by Mouldking and sold by Bluebrixx. It looks fantastic. Has 2800 pieces, real rigging and a lot of detail. A true UCS minifig scale set. I don't wait for Lego to make it themselves.

Yeah hearing that it’s likely midi scale garbage killed any interest. 
 I suspect that the one piece sets might not sell as good as they believe considering it’s based on the Netflix series and not the anime / manga.

I did the same last year, built a 2500 piece ucs black pearl using the barracuda hull and sails from official set and I love it.

Built the Marooned Marin one two days ago, its a beauty!

But yeah a Black Pearl icons sets should be coming next year according to I think the same leaker as the one piece sets. I went all the way to 4chan  to find this. No other info yet. Pretty sure this is what Clay was talking about earlier saying we will be eating well in 2025. Plus One piece for pirate parts haha

Clay just confirmed it, black pearl should be coming late 2025 no details about scale or figures as of now! I already have a moc but I am beyond excited!

Icons mid sized garbage would honestly be worse that 4184.

 Releasing it at the same time as a Star Trek kit has implications seeing as though they are both going to be icons sets. So likely mini scale ship and mini scale enterprise.

 Between these and the god awful decision to make the first Zelda kit a horrifically over priced grey tree, they need to have a sit down discussion about the sets they are choosing to launch or relaunch themes.

Icons has a variety of sets from many different scales, there’s no reason to believe that from the information we have yet. It could end up being midi scale but all we know is that it’s coming at this point, anything else is speculation.

I’m surprised that we aren’t getting the Flying Dutchman in all honesty, it’s never been done before and it’s been requested by everyone since the original theme back in 2011 and every year since.  Not to mention it reached 10k votes on Lego Ideas. 
 

Personally I’ll have zero interest in a mid scale version of the Black Pearl, it needs to be like the Imperial Flagship from years back for me to be interested, a good model but 100% a player with full interior.  
 

Theres no reason to belive that because its Icons means it won’t be minifigure/playset scale, just look at LOTR and both of those are classed as Icons sets.

A new Pearl! This is the best news I've heard in a while and a nice Christmas surprise! 

Why is everyone worried that it will be mid sized though? It will likely be similar to some of the MOCs we've seen where the scale isn't really true to real life but will most likely be able to fit minifigures and have a lower deck and captain's cabin.

I predict it will be based on the second or third film, and will feature minifigures of Jack, Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Gibbs, Pintel & Ragetti, perhaps Tia Dalma and any other fig would be a bonus. I'm confident that after they release the new Black Pearl, a Flying Dutchman will follow and if they have any plans aside from those two ships, I'd love an Icons Kraken and Tortuga too! 

Thinking about selling the original Black Pearl now but keep the minifigures, I'm expecting to see a lot of people to the same.

For me the we need the signature crew. That been Jack, Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Cotton (with Parrot), Marty, Gibbs and Rageti, Pintell and of course Jack the Monkey.  
 

I feel Marty and Cotton are very minor roles but yet such a big part of the Black Pearls Crew.  They both didn’t say much but were part of the crew through all the first three movies along with others who came and went etc.

It’d be cool if there were enemy crew mates as well - if Pintell and Ragetti were included they could also have skeleton alternate faces. Throw in Barbossa and you could display three skeleton pirates against the Black Pearl crew or show them all working together
