Hopefully with more than one car and with the ability to take a motor! (A guy can dream, right?) I don't want it to be a bookend either! Just preparing for the worst for now (though it would be very odd if 2 of the 3 bookend sets were train-based). Still... A one-off wave covering the first few Spidey films would be fantastic, especially considering the lack of new Marvel stuff/redundancy of current sets. I'll let you dream of a full train; I'll dream of a second, smaller set featuring Green Goblin with a proper mask. Edited January 6 by JohnTPT17 Quote

That might not be that bad an idea though. We'll want at least one regular FF torso. Sue's will be female-based. Johnny's will probably be on fire and Ben's will be rocky and orange so having one standard FF torso would be good. 2 hours ago, Murdoch17 said: I don't know many Marvel movies, but the word 'train' has my interest totally peaked. In fact, wasn't that phrase used in the second Spiderman Movie (2004) during the train scene? Or am I crazy? (I would sell my soul for a remake of set 4855!) Let's hope, I'd love to see sets on the Raimi movies. And that train scene still holds up today, way more iconic than most things in the entire MCU. Quote

That said, it's not like we've got an accurate bulked-up version, and I certainly wouldn't mind the option to have one for war machine. 5 hours ago, JeanGreyForever said: That might not be that bad an idea though. You aren't wrong. Assumably our Johnny will be on fire, obviously thing doesn't wear the suit, etc. Ironically if they do a turning invisible Sue and stretchy Reed we could end up with zero normal FF torsos. I agree that- especially if this is comic based- I'd prefer normal torsos for Reed and Sue so we have normal male and female FF torsos we can use for other characters. Quote

Is this gonna be the new „what if [anticipated set] is microscale??“ A SM2 book nook would be super random. Fingers crossed for a whole wave of Raimi sets! Disney movies are based on fairy tales, not actual books. My point is, none of them are direct adaptations of books, like Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings movies are. These are the only active themes or subthemes LEGO has for actual book adaptations. 15 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Fingers crossed for a whole wave of Raimi sets! I don't know how the merchandise for Sony work specifically, but the only sets for their Marvel movies we got before were the ones they made in collaboration with Disney. The fact that we're suddenly getting Spider-Verse (and possibly Raimi) sets at the same time means something has changed, and they can / decided to capitalise on it. Quote

Imagine the disappointment of people thinking they'd get an actual Spider-Man 2 set, only for it to be just another gimmick. I mean to be honest, the imagery of this scene lends itself really well to a book nook, and as long as they work in Doc Ock I'm not sure how much you actually lose out on compared to a normal set. Like sure, you wouldn't get an actual full train car, but I don't think that's the part of Raimi sets that people specifically want. A diorama style set makes it a lot easier to convey that iconic image of him holding the train back with the webs. I wasn‘t saying any of those will get book nooks, my point was that there are quite a few (sub)themes based on book adaptations, if you bend the rules enough We also have Jurassic Park, Dune, and others, but I fully agree that most of the adaptations the sets are based on have next to nothing to do with the books. HP & LOTR are indeed the only direct ones And arguably the first JP. 2 hours ago, THELEGOBATMAN said: Disney movies are based on fairy tales, not actual books. This would be great, I thought that the recent Green Goblin minifig from the Statue of Liberty set was a little lacking, and his 2002 look is still an all-time iconic CBM costume. If Lego is going to make proper Raimi trilogy sets, do you think they would also do anything from TASM or the Fox X-Men movies? Quote

Yup, I assumed Book Nook was just lego's fancy name for bookends, I didn't realize they were an actual thing. I assumed they were just normal bookends, which case I was imagining something like this: I agree a cramped cube would be a bad representation of the scene, and looking back it doesn't seem like there were any leaks of it being a book nook, people were just discussing it so I though it'd been rumored. 50 minutes ago, Kaijumeister said: From the Brick Tap Discord server. Getting the same feeling like when the Infinity Saga line was first rumoured. I wonder how far they'll go with those sets—the first two Raimi movies are a given, but will we get a set for the third one? Or the Amazing Spider-Man movies? Or more Spider-Verse sets? I will take all of them with open arms. (Especially Spider-Verse ones. I will buy every single one if I have to.) Quote
