Posted January 1Jan 1 Hi everyone, I want to try a project -it could be considered a MOC- consisting of building a new version of the classic 6081 King's Mountain Fortress. I would also add te new minifigures. It would be the same exact set, but only using new pieces in the new colors (except de raised baseplate, that I would use the original one). It shouldn't be complicated, given that it's all about changing the old grey by new grey, but there's a problem with the "one block walls" from the old set. I tried Rebrickable (I have used it to buy instructions, etc) but I am in trouble when it comes to create my own design. Is someone able to help me with this?

I think @Captain Fortune's problem is, that the old wall panels only exist in old (light or dark) gray. My suggestion for a solution: @Captain Fortune you should brick build these wall panels with bricks and arches in new light gray.

January 5Jan 5 Why are you doing it? If it is to make something that can be built with modern parts, then it might be worth doing some MOC work and designing a replacement base from modern parts a bit like LEGO have done on the reimagined new versions of vintage sets.
January 5Jan 5 Just replace the panels with regular bricks. Use lots of masonry profile ones, they gve the walls a very nice look! See my remake of set 6080 King's Castle:
January 7Jan 7 Also if you did want to do the raised baseplate out of pieces, the newer Eldorado Fortress set from Pirates is a great starting point.
