I'm looking for a motorized front axle sets, or more specifically, for sets that already have a front axle (with suspension preferably) that can turn by adding the motor I own. Any tips? I would even rather buy just the axle itself but I cant find that either, always just a lot of different parts that someone puts together on a website but not the whole thing for sale.

Do you mean front wheel drive only (can't think of any, except the 8862 B model, which is a combine harvester!), or do you mean any sets with driven front axles, which would also include 4x4s and 6x6s?

If it's the latter, sets with a motorised front axle would include 42129, 42099, 9398 and 42070. There's also sets like 42030 which is an articulated front loader, so there's drive but no suspension or steering on the axle itself.

For sets that come with a driven front axle but that don't come motorised, so you can motorise them yourself, you have to be careful as most of them use differentials, CV joints and a gearing ratio that isn't suitable for being motorised. Many of the big supercars are like that, but the 8110 unimog might be okay as you can easily swap the 1:1 portal axle ratio for a 1:3 ratio.

Thanks for a fast reply. I'm looking for a basic steering axle, hopefully with some suspension, to which I would then only add my motor to make the left and right turns. In other words, the axle itself should not be motorised, it should have literally everything except the motor, which I will add later. So you say some of the supercars have it like that?

I know about this thread, but it doesnt have any links to directly buy whatever is on there. you still have to get the individual pieces somewhere somehow.

Your question is pretty underspecified. What scale/size/form are we talking about? Car or truck? What purpose? On-road or off-road? Speed or power / good suspension? It all varies, and axles are really different.

I think official 1:8 supercars are not a good starting point for that, they are too big to be motorized.

I don't think you'll be able to buy such a thing directly, I mean just the axle. Your best bet is a 4x4 RC set I guess, and you can start modifying / reusing parts of that.
