MKJoshA Posted January 7 Posted January 7 This thread collects everything you think you know about 2025 LEGO Star Wars sets; discuss your opinions here! Please read before posting: Stay on target. No wish lists. Remember that this topic is for discussing sets that are rumored to come in 2025. If it's something you wish to see or something you think that we will see sometime in the future, but not something that's actually rumored to be a 2025 set, then it is pure speculation and it belongs in the Future Star Wars Sets topic. (We also have a topic for minifigures you want to see, which might be more appropriate.) Please be civil. Remember that we come from different countries, cultures, languages, and backgrounds. Give everyone the benefit of the doubt and don't be a jerk. No fighting. We strongly suggest you refrain from criticizing sets on the basis of what you imagine they're going to look like. Wait till we have pictures before you start complaining. And even then, think twice about it If you post news in this thread, it will not be transferred over to the 2025 News thread. Be smart, think about what you are posting and in what thread you are posting. This IS your warning! If you have substantiated news, you can post it in the 2025 News thread. If your news is not able to be substantiated your post will be removed. If you choose to post fabricated information; you can expect to be banned. It's not worth the fifteen minutes of internet fame. Do not post watermarked or confidential images; they will be removed and the poster will be dealt with appropriately. As stated in our Member Guidelines: Sinner said: If you find an image of a new LEGO set and it is incredibly blurry or stamped "Confidential", it is a leak-please don't post it here. If you are uncertain, PM a member of the staff for guidance and include a link to the questionable material. This topic is for general Lego Star Wars set discussion. We will make a new topic when we feel it is necessary. If your post was on the boards, and now it's not...there is a good chance it was either hidden or moved. BrickBob Studpants Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Fingers crossed the recent Gold Leader hint has nothing to do with Enoch. I know, I know, putting named characters in battle packs isn‘t a popular idea (and for valid reasons), but it‘s our best shot at getting an Enoch minifig anytime soon He also might have different armour when we see him again in either S2 of Ahsoka or Filonie‘s movie, so now would be a good time Quote

There are multiple characters who it refers to in-universe, so if it's hinting at anything I would presume it's almost definitely related to one of them. Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) I’m just waiting for some details for the final 3 unaccounted for set numbers. 75428, 75432 and 75433. Scratch that, one will have to be the Clone Pilot set. Two unaccounted set numbers. Ok never mind. I’m putting a lot of hope on the final two completely unknown set numbers. But I’m realistically only hoping for one good set. I don’t trust Lego enough to not make a buildable mando. When do you think we will get some of that info? I’d rather rip off the band aid sooner than later if it’s disappointing news. Edited January 7 by CloneCommando99 Quote
Coryo Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Lando used the Gold Leader callsign during the Death Star II run, I could see a General Calrissian minifig being included in the next version of the Falcon. The V-19 theory from @CloneCommando99 does line up to the hint pretty closely though, since the line was actually spoken in the 2003 show. Kinda wild that there haven't been any OT playsets rumoured for this year, or really any playsets based on the non-Clone parts of the entire Skywalker Saga Quote

We also need more lando figures. Hopefully that is the Gold Leader. Quote

If there was no Enoch in the night trooper set, I assume he'd just be like "I can't believe nobody said (Enoch Line)" or something rather than what's either a reference to the trench run or a scene from clone wars 2003. 2 hours ago, Meaf said: Perhaps it's just me, but I really can't see it being related to Enoch. Exactly- enoch has gold on him, yes, and leads troops in some capacity, but especially given that there are characters with the callsign gold leader, I can't imagine that referred to him. (Also, we've so far really only seen him take orders from thrawn- and talk to sabine one time-, and he doesn't have THAT much gold on him. While I suppose it's technically accurate, I just don't think it's a good description of the character and can't see renown being like "Ah, yes, this describes Enoch perfectly") 2 hours ago, Coryo said: Lando used the Gold Leader callsign during the Death Star II run, I could see a General Calrissian minifig being included in the next version of the Falcon. I think CC's correct, but even if he's not I assume it'd be referring to the gold leader who died. 2 hours ago, Coryo said: The V-19 theory from @CloneCommando99 does line up to the hint pretty closely though, since the line was actually spoken in the 2003 show. Yeah I'm fully on board with this theory now, especially since Renown called out which set had the clone pilot. Very disappointed in this year. I am once again correct in my naysaying prediction that lego was moving towards massive amounts of gimmick sets with primarily clone trooper based system sets. It's cool for clone fans, I guess, but this isn't maintainable. I assume it won't be almost 100% clone sets for the playsets again next year- just because they'd run out of non-super obscure vehicles- but at a certain point I think most kids are going to have enough clones that they aren't as mesmerized by each new color of stripe on their armor. (I also think they're shooting themselves in the foot a bit with the oversaturation just off the fact that a number of kids- and adults- are just in it for the figs, and if there's a ton of clone battle packs or smaller sets out there, they might not be as inclined to get/ask for the $120+ sets) Quote

I'm intrigued to see how the Death Star turns out, but the MTT being blue killed my interest there, and the amount of clone related sets is of no interest to me. I just hope the last two sets are something either PT or OT based that aren't just clones (or ST based even)... @Renown please tell me there is at least something interesting left... We're all hyped up for anniversaries in this theme now, right? Let's get a single system set for TFA's anniversary since there haven't been any sequel sets in half a decade. The blue MTT is especially strange to me because we have seen clones interact with brown MTTs before. We know they look at battlefront 2017 for clone designs already... (Now watch the set be a blue MTT that comes with one of the battlefront 2017 exclusive legions. I'd lose it) 1 minute ago, NoOneOfImportance said: At least we're getting the midi and helmet, but no mainline system sets is awful. Brickwraith Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Renown confirming the set number and saying we should temper expectations absolutely makes me think that the theory the quote is referring to a V-19 is correct. Quote

We got Darth Rey and are finally getting Sith Eternal Palpatine, too, but we should get some actual system sets. It’s been years. Hopefully the tempering expectations comment is not about the fact that we haven’t gotten Luke’s Landspeeder in five years…. Quote

Then the return of Kyle Rayner to White Lantern status. And now the likely coming of a V-19 based off 2003 CW. I skipped the 2020 one and would really like to get a new one. Though I do almost want them to wait until they give in and create a color in-between LBG and white. 33 minutes ago, Coryo said: "Temper your expectations" has landed me on a 4+ Luke's Landspeeder or a microfighter version. I think we've been getting just one 4+ a year recently, so I think we're safe there. And a luke's landspeeder microfighter would be really funny (and if he had a poncho the set would unironically go hard.) Quote
starlego98 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 it is me or lego is making cancelled sets? the yavin base(2009 -> 2023), the UT-AT (2009 -> 2025), and the V19 (cancelled in 2018) Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Maybe we all underestimated how well Clone sets are selling because this is utter madness When was the last time a subtheme was this dominant? I'm pretty disappointed so far, not gonna lie. Not even a single Mando playset? The 2HY sets were supposed to save this year, as they've done the last coupla years! That said, one of my most-wanted minifigs is finally getting made (TROS Senate) and if Bly & Bacara show up, they're nothing to scoff at either. Plus the CIS MTT and UT-AT aren't remakes, so that's nice to see as well! And even the remakes are welcome in my book (V-19, U-Wing). The Night Trooper BP is also a highlight for me, especially if Enoch is included! The budget for new pieces has to go somewhere. 2025 overall still has good chances to dethrone 2024 for me (and that's saying something), but definitely not thanks to SW, unless the remaining sets cater to me specifically Other themes are doing the heavy lifting here Edited January 7 by BrickBob Studpants Quote

The basis and backbone of the entire franchise, the ones that started it all, and the only ones that a majority of fans can agree on being really good. The ones that I don't think we've ever gone a year without any playsets for. Mando is popular and has gaps, but it's also (hopefully) gearing up for a heavy year with the movie in 2026, and there's not a new season to make sets off.
