[WIP] Merchant sloop

Hello all,

I am new at this forum and want to share with you a work in progress. I build this little sloop at the base of the Durham ship from the Harry Potter set with sails from that same set and the barracuda bay. 

For years I've been trying to build a bigger ship like the barracuda brig from Supersick, but I never succeeded. But with the base of the Durham ship from Lego I am happy with the result so far. 

I hope you like it also. When the project is completely finished I will share better photos with you all.

First attempt for a swivel gun. Don't really like it so any advice is welcome.

Looks good! Would love to see the insides of the ship at some point. This also made me wish Lego would produce more sails in different colours.

That is an excellent adaptation of the hull, seems to work well.

By the way, on Flickr you have a button under each picture "share", where you can grab the BCC code to embed pictures in your forum posts 😉.

This is a well-built little sloop! I like how you used the LEGO Wedge Curved 3 x 8 x 2 on the ship's stern and the ship's bow is also well done.

Thank you Sebeus, you are one of the builders that give me a lot of inspiration. The boat, it has no name yet, is almost finished.

I was indeed searching for a way to embed the pictures so thanks for your advice.

Thank you very much, I am searching for a way to make an interior but I am afraid that I don't have enough space to make it work.
