Posted January 11Jan 11 Has anyone had any experience with sellabrick.com? Looks like webuyanycar for LEGO sets. Put a couple of sets into their tool and the prices were lower than you might get on eBay or elsewhere but not too silly and it all seems very straightforward and removes the general public from the equation i would be keen to know if anyone has tried them? January 11Jan 11 Personally I would never send stuff and get paid later. I think nobody really would. That's a big risk, and if anything goes bad, good luck getting it back.
January 11Jan 11 Author Yeah, thanks guys. I was thinking along the same lines which is why I was wondering about any real-life experiences

It is fairly standard for selling used items like books, CDs, DVDs, etc. There are lots of companies that use this model for other items. I imagine they are legitimate. But I don't think the prices offered are that great (just like media buyer sites). But then they cover postage so no wonder their offers are a bit low.
January 12Jan 12 I input an item with a fake email. The offered prices are terrible compared to what you could sell for on Bricklink. But I suppose that's the model.

And yeah makes sense prices aren't great, they have to cover costs and make profit too. Pretty much the price for the convenience of not having to document & photograph your sets, put them up for sale, and spend time dealing with contacts or meetings. Would always sell myself, though not sure if that even works on BL... It doesn't seem aimed towards people with only an occasional Lego yard sale.
