Great Job Batbrick!

I see that most, or all of your custom figs show up in here!

The Penguins in the lake look a bit threatening, but the overall look of the place is awesome, especially the battle up the top...:wub:

The toilet looks a little high....

Thanks mate! Someone finally pinned the toilet problem: It's too high!

Yay, this is exciting! I started building a Wayne Manor, or rather a large room of it based on the '60s TV series (with moving bookshelf and batpoles!) to go above the Batcave. Unfortunately the inside was good, for a set, but the outsides of it didn't really work, though I would have loved to build a whole Wayne Manor. I look forward to yours.:thumbup:

Thanks, I tried it once but gave up, hopefully next I will succeed.

Whoa! This is a very nice MOC.

Put the Market Place and Café Corner next to it and You've got a city.

I like how you've transformed the animated version into a perfect lego minifig-scaled version.

And must I add that your white bricks are in very fine condition - no yellowing (most of mine look awful)

How about adding a poll to make people vote how good this is?

Thanks KimT, If only I had the CC and Market Place!

I threw out my very yellowed bricks recently, so I'm glad someone noticed this.

I don't know how to make a poll once it is already up, but that is okay

Thanks again.

When you said this thing was big, I didn't imagine this! I guess it's a good thing you didn't fill in the roof, you'd have had no bricks left.

Oh you have no idea! All my 1x1, 2x1, 3x1 and 4x1 white bricks are gone!

The outside is fantastic. Quite simple, but well-executed. The letters are really good, and I like the slopes on the roof edge.

The inside is just fantastic. The lake in the middle, with the penguin statue, the tables, the bar area, wow! The lake is well-built, and looks nice and clean. Can I ask though, the penguins in the lake... why are they carrying guns? Surely that's not the image a 'respectable club' wants to give out?

Thanks, and I'm not sure why I kept the guns on the penguins, I guess I'm just lazy!

The 'secret rooms' are good too, they look very utilitarian, rather than classy like the rest of the building. But of course, they're not messy, as there's a brush there to clean up.

The toilet is rather big, but it still looks good, and I guess at least it's there. Most people wouldn't have bothered.

Thanks. and yes, especially the deals room has a not nearly as classy look, I wanted to give the impression that this is where the real stuff happens.

Seriously though, this is fantastic. A worthy addition to the Lego Bat-mythos, even if it's not one of the better-known locales. Great work mate.

Hang on, why are there two Batmen? Three if Matches is still inside?

Thanks, I'm glad you like it :cry_happy:

As for two Batmen, that is Matches while he is still alive.

This is an awesome building, BatBrick, with amazing details everywhere and a beautiful diamond in the middle: the penguin fountain. I just... love it

Thanks BlueBard, glad you like the pond!

A lot of my white bricks are yellowed as well, although I've put them in a special box all of their own. I can't bring myself to throw them away, and you never know when they might come in useful.

Yes, but there are still two Batmen. One on the bike, one on the roof. I shouldn't think it's one of the Three Ghosts either, seeing as how you don't like Morrison.

Amazing MOC, Batbrick!

Okay, I'm going to give this a fulkl review.

The exterior is simply beautiful. The words on the front are very nice, and truley add something to the MOC. The color scheme fits the penguin perfectly, however, a little purple might be nice. Of course, that is a hard color to get. Perhaps Dark Panther?

I also like it's Open design. It is very nice, and doesn't effect the MOC in a bad way.

I appreciate the two open rooms. It kind of makes me think of the new death star playset. :classic:

Now, the interior. I always like lounges. And yours truley rocks. It has the feel that it should. I am making a bar, which is old, comfy, and warm, whereas yours is cold, and truley matches the Penguin. The blue seats match perfectly, and I like the overall look of the fountain. I think that maybe the orifinal design of Lego's toilet would have been perfectly okay, but your cusom toilet works as well. (Little high). And are penguins potty-trained?

I Love the upper level. It really screams VIP. Is their a TV by any chance?

Overall, this is an awesome MOC, and I can't wait to see it featured in a comic. :sweet:

I should have done that, but they also had a lot of chew marks from my childhood, I collected these since I was four you know.

Uuurgh, I hate Morrison! The Batcycle was an afterthought really, just discard that as a way of filling up the road, and if you're really desperate, imagine him as Jason Todd wearing the batsuit STILL being forced by hack writers to be cool

Thanks Mate, I'm glad you really like it, it seems I am getting much better at constructing larger mocs now. I don't tihnk I'll add purple as that is not a trademark colour of the character, many versions have him simply in black pants. Thankyou for your comment on the roof design, I'm glad it doesn't impede the moc. I agree the toilet is too high, but i'm still glad how it cam out. Incidentally, what was Lego's design?

I can't wait to make a comic with it either, soon as I get a good program!

Darn, no drooling icon. Oh well. I really, really, really like this :pir-wub:. If only I wasn't already using my white...
*oh2* Wow! This is really stunning! Could you make a 1280x1024 wallpaper version of it?

Thanks for commenting Sinner, I'd be happy to make a wallpaper version if I knew how, do I just take a larger picture file? My apologies, but I never was at home with technology as others are. May I ask why you'd want a wallpaper? Anyway, thanks!

This Ice Lounge is beautiful. A compliment to any rich penguin's domain. I only wish I had more Bat Sets. I missed out on Two-Face... :cry_sad:

Love the lounge and i'm sure the penguin does too.

Thanks, get Two-Face though. Now. He is awesome. Totally badass. He has a tommygun. He has a coin. Half good. Half evil. All pure awesome!

Pretty much. One of "p1240412.jpg" at 1280x1024 would do nicely. :sweet: (Or larger.)

May I ask why you'd want a wallpaper? Anyway, thanks!

Sure you can! Wallpapers are my thing. They have been for a while, ever since when 4MB of memory was standard and it was possible to do wallpapers, but just plain stupid. But I'm not satisified with just one wallpaper; I like my wallpapers to change regularly, and at a random time between 30-60 minutes, and I really hate when the aspect is altered, or if the image is covered by the taskbar.... Needless to say, I ended up writing my own program. Now I have a folder of over 500 mixed images, and about 100 of those are Lego related, and I think yours would fit in nicely!

Did that answer your question?

Incidentally, what was Lego's design?

It was one of those blue bucket things with a stud hole on the back, and a life preserver on them, to make a toilet seat. It was in the instructions for the big Crane thing. (sorry for my lack of names. I'll try and find a pic.)

Edit: Found it!

Wow this is absolutely gorgeous man, love it. That penguin statue is awesome too, although I'm not sure about it and the mini penguins having guns all things considering, but that's really my only complaint

Very nicely done! I love how you've built it; its seems very Nolan-esque

Thanks, but how on earth is it Nolanesque? It is WAY out there, and is exactly like this even in the most unrealistic interpretations.

Ah, thanks! Now if only I could find that blue bucket*

I do still like my toilet though, it flushes!

*Note: This is not a reference, I really have lost my only blue bucket piece when I took apart my fire station.

Thanks mate, glad you commented. As for the penguin guns, the biggie is just a statue, and the little ones are just me being lazy!:blush:

This is just amazing and awe-inspiring!

Many bat-figs will definately enjoy their stay there!

Thanks, I hope to make a comic which will feature it as a reoccurring location, a place where Bats can search for criminals and the like.

I'm planning on waiting to Brick Link him just in case he is in a set next year. I was suprised he wasn't released this year, with TDK coming out and all.

Anyway every time I see this lounge, the more I think Lego Batman designers can't beat Batbrick's creations

I was also wondering if, like Sinner, I could have permission to use this as my desktop background?

Can't wait for the next Batbrick creation

Woo! Wow! This is just great, Batbrick! Really, this is an amazing creation, I love it! Gah, it's just to cool to contain! The colouring, the build, the details, the playability... Awesome job man, awesome job. I love the giant penguin statue, and the stairs up to the window in Penguin's office is a great touch. Wow, this is just so cool! Again, great job!

Sorry for my late comment Batty, I've been a bit busy.

WOW!

Had to get that out. This is outstanding my fine flying friend, indeed I see in it a furthering of your MOCing talent. It has an excellent, well planned design, and just looks the part.

Starting at the front, I like the way you've done the lettering, it looks really good and gives a nice 3D effect. The front in general is well structured and has the perfect look of a private club. I also like the small window in the centre, anyone could be watching... The crenelations (is that the right word) on the roof look awesome, and give the building a very grand and dignified appearance. At least I think so anyway.

The two rooms on the sides offer some nice details such as those shiny silver cups ( :oh: ) and the interesting chair. Very cool. (get it, cool, because he's a penguin! Yeah that's pretty lame... )

The interior is just gorgeous! Seating, large statue, cosy bar with food and drinks, swimming penguins with guns, lots of white... It looks very nice. The lake looks great, it has turned out very nice with the SNOT water. The large statue looks perfectly proportioned to the smaller penguins, and the bar is neat, with it's own coloured floor and a simple yet effective door for the workers. The drink refiller and vending machine are great touches and fit in nicely. Also, I like the design of the door arch, and for that matter all the other arches. They seem to fit in very well, and I think work better than curved arches would have. So a big  for that.

Those last couple with all the minifigs set up is a favourite of mine, it really sets the seen, and lets you incorporate your custom figs! How awesome.

Well, I think you've done a good job. Not being as huge a fan of Batman as you, I must admit I'd never heard of this place before, but it certainly looks sweet! Keep up your great efforts, I look forward to seeing what comes next (some IA would be nice  ).

And the reason for the delayed posting is because I finally got round to taking those larger pics Sinner and Nightwing wanted. Here they are:
