5150 Lego Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) While i doubt that we would ever see a Halo line, but anything is possible. Two years ago would anyone have thought we'd get anything like the agents line? I remeber i made a simular sugestion several months before we knew about the agents line with very simular ideas to what we have now, and people comented that there was no way that lego would do anything like it. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...ic=9961&hl= We'll, we have a line that nearly everyone thought would never happen, and its one of the most liked themes Lego has done. 10 years ago would anyone have thought we'd have a Star Wars theme? I'm sure people back then thought a star wars line would have been to violent for Lego to do, but its now one of the most sucsefull lines lego has. Just wait. The way things are going were going to see a military type line, and i'lll finally get my Hummvee! Edited August 6, 2008 by 5150 Lego Quote

Spies is more serious, and Agents is more of a cartoony versoin, hence the robot henchman and arms, and wacky villains (such as the Slime guy). Besides, at least your idea was plausible. This is just out of the question. Halo just isn't something TLC would make. It is just too violent, even for a military-theme. I could see where it seems like it could work, because there's no human-human violence, but even then, it's too violent. Who knows, maybe in ten years, Lego will branch out and do a millitary-type theme. But anytime soon? I really don't see something like this in the near future. DSR Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Cool. Badger, could you possibly make any suggestions to Will? There's an entire board for discussing BrickArms products, sharing MOCs that use them, and making suggestions for future accessories: the BrickArms Forums. If you have an idea you'd like to share, that's the place to do it. There's already a very extensive thread about HALO-related weapons here, so if those items interest you most, that'd be the place to post about it. badger Quote
Joey Lock Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Cool. Badger, could you possibly make any suggestions to Will? I think in my first post I asked for ideas that the LEGO Group could make into sets if we did see HALO in the future. However, all I've gotten is 'No' and 'Aint gonna happen'. Sheesh. Hinckley Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Official Warning: Watch the offensive language and be nice to eachother and just talk about HALO. Get back on topic and drop the whole word thing please. They are only words and clearly no offense was meant. Over-reacting to words it totally gay. Quote

Well, I guess that's mostly my fault, I apologize if anyone was offended, blame America. Anyway, on a personal level, I think that Halo is best left to us and MOC's. TLC would probably ruin the theme, except for maybe a new windscreen peice for the Warthog. But they could even mess that up. Personally, I think there's enough MOC's of Halo vehicles and creatures that anyone who really wants to could use them as inspiration for their own MOC's. I would build my own Warthog, but I want one in green, and green parts are something I lack, and I would rather build a starfighter or something with my time. Justin, try searching Brickshelf for Halo stuff if you haven't already. Even check out this guy for some nice creations. His work has been shared on here, but it also raised an argument over MOCing ability between a certain member and a certain Admin, and I'll leave it at that. Well, check them out, maybe you can make your own Halo MOC's and post them here using them as inspiration. Happy building! DSR Quote
Justin2224 Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 We cant buy halo MOCs. And they wouldnt mess up the theme, oddly enoug I even had dreams last night about the box for the Warthog. It was cool, and alot, about 80% of my dreams end up real. Quote

And TLC messing up the theme was just IMO, i just thought it would be a possibility that TLC's version wouldn't match up to our standards as FOL's. And having dreams about boxes really isn't a liable source for set possibilities. DSR Quote
Justin2224 Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 But the box looked realistic. It had Master Chief, 2 Marines, 173 pieces and was ages 9-14. It was on a beach and the 'Hog was coming down a hill, ther was yellow blasts coming from the chain gun and purple from the left side, putting the 'Hog on the right. Pretty realistic huh? Quote

I guess, but it still isn't really a liable source of info, being a dream and all, but at least it sounds good. But, 173 peices? That might not be enough for a good 'hog. DSR Quote
Justin2224 Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 It was 273 or 173, since it was a dream I cant remember perfectly, but it did stick with me. Quote

Spies is more serious, and Agents is more of a cartoony versoin, hence the robot henchman and arms, and wacky villains (such as the Slime guy).Besides, at least your idea was plausible. I do apreaciate you thinking that the "Spies" idea was possible, but most didn't. Its preety easy to look back and say that my "Spies" idea was pluasible since somthing very simular has been done. The "spies" idea really had the same presidence that the agents line currently does. Its no more serious than the agents line either. I really don't see anything "cartoony" about it either. while i can apreaciate your argument and opinion, all your doing is making excuses for the violence that obviously persists in the line. Just because you feel its "cartoony" doesn't make it any less violent. Is it as violent as a potential HALO line? No. I will defenatly agree with you on that, and considering its target audience, your probbly right that it isn't somthing that lego would be doing any time soon. Who knows, maybe in ten years, Lego will branch out and do a millitary-type theme. But anytime soon? I really don't see something like this in the near future.DSR maybe....... Justin2224 Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 I've come up with a solution to 2 3rds of the reason the game is rated M. 1: Under options, you can turn off the blood. 2: The Mute button makes short work of any language. Now we have reduced it to an M rated game like Star Wars in our galaxy. And nowadays, most of LEGOs themes are violent. Batman is violent, so are Star Wars, Castle, Agents, Indiana Jones, and pretty much everything else. So if we don't get a Halo theme, Violence is not the answer. Quote
