Fire boat 4031

Wow! I'm really loving these classic town reviews. I would especially love to see a review of the fireboat #4031 from 1991...... ?

I got it as a gift from my parents ~15 years ago.

This is a really great fire boat, imo the best one made by TLG yet. I always wanted to own this as a child but i never got it. The new one also is not too bad but the fact that it is in this speedboat-style is pretty disturbing, i would rathe rlike to have one with the base of, say, the new coast guard boat.

Hey y'all thanks for the replies! I patiently await more pics of the 4031 - I know that brickshelf is pretty scarce, I've tried searching every which way.

Panda - I like your cargo hold!

I really like the forward design of the 4031, and the new coast guard boat is simialr, but there is just a flat base, so you can't MOC it to have a cargo hold.

I do not have this set with me as well. Otherwise, I can try and help you on this. The only boat I had during that era, was the 4010 Police Boat.

I need aceton to remove it, but then it will desolve the plastic also. I tried almost anything, wasbenzin, terpetin, alcohol, etc. I will make some more pic's of mine cargo ship and make a separate topic for it.

To mine opnion, I like set 7046 more as fireboat then 4031. That set is more playable. But the advantage of set 4031, it floats on water and 7046 won't .
