jeffjcc Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Wow! I'm really loving these classic town reviews. I would especially love to see a review of the fireboat #4031 from 1991...... ? Quote
BerndDasBrot Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I got it as a gift from my parents ~15 years ago. But I don't have a camera right now. Be patient, maybe in a week or two I'd like to make one. Quote
KimT Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Sadly no, but I do have 4025 and could do a review of that. If You'd like me to do so. Quote
BillytheKid Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 This one: Well I have it, but transformed it to this: And cargohole Only too bad the sides are damaged form the glue. Quote
metalandi Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 This is a really great fire boat, imo the best one made by TLG yet. I always wanted to own this as a child but i never got it. The new one also is not too bad but the fact that it is in this speedboat-style is pretty disturbing, i would rathe rlike to have one with the base of, say, the new coast guard boat. Quote
highlandcattle Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Panda: can't you rub the sides with alcohol then the sticker leftovers will go off Quote
Skinny Boy Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hey Panda, any more pics? That hull looks really good. I'll check Bricklink. Quote
jeffjcc Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 Hey y'all thanks for the replies! I patiently await more pics of the 4031 - I know that brickshelf is pretty scarce, I've tried searching every which way. Panda - I like your cargo hold! I really like the forward design of the 4031, and the new coast guard boat is simialr, but there is just a flat base, so you can't MOC it to have a cargo hold. Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I do not have this set with me as well. Otherwise, I can try and help you on this. The only boat I had during that era, was the 4010 Police Boat. Sadly no, but I do have 4025 and could do a review of that. If You'd like me to do so. I will defintely love to see you make this review! Quote
BillytheKid Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I need aceton to remove it, but then it will desolve the plastic also. I tried almost anything, wasbenzin, terpetin, alcohol, etc. I will make some more pic's of mine cargo ship and make a separate topic for it. To mine opnion, I like set 7046 more as fireboat then 4031. That set is more playable. But the advantage of set 4031, it floats on water and 7046 won't . Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 At first, I thought you meant this: (my first-and only-fireboat) But then I realized what you meant. The answer, unfortuneately, is no. Quote
