AFOL Inspired Shirts

First thing I gotta say is that this is my first topic here on Eurobricks and I'm not sure if this is the right area for me to post this. If this topic should be moved else where can someone please tell me, thanks .

I like to think more outside the box when it comes to Legos (yes, pun intended) so I've done some projects that don't involve the plastic bricks. Some projects involve drawing and, in this case, creating clothing. At my high school I took graphic design and t-shirt screen printing was one of the jobs I had to do. On my third year of the course I decided to do a four color print that would represent the AFOL in all its pride and glory but the school principle didn't like me using the word "Hell" in the shirt design and it got canned. So I had to design something else with similar principles that I wanted in my first design but something I could design quick enough to get started. So I created the Army Builder T-Shirts.

I wasn't really happy with the end result since the printed area was suppose to be much bigger (you can't tell from the pictures) and it wasn't my original design. But I can show you my original even though it was never printed .

WOW! I saw those on Brickshelf, and wanted to come here and see if there was anything on them. I would honestly consider buying one (the clone one) if they became availible for sale. You should send that design to TLC, maybe they would produce them, and give you some $$$

I'm sorry to say that I'm not a huge fan of the Army Builder shirt, it doesn't seem specifically LEGO themed. I do, however, love the 300 shirt. Keep up the good work.

i love the 300 one. it's creative, it tells it's message, it's simple, and effective. you must make it. take it to some shirt printer and get the design printed, then sell it somewhere. i'd buy one.

These are great. My favorites are the first army builder shirt, adn the "300" one.

Both are very well done, though I’d prefer the army builder one if you made it stormtroopers rather than clones, but that’s personal taste. I love the 300 one and frankly I’d like a shirt with it on – maybe on the back of a polo shirt? As has been suggested you should contact Lego and see if they could produce one. If they wont would you object to people printing their own and transferring them onto shirts?

I think the army builder shirt is brilliant and accurately describes several people I know. We just need Pirates and Castle versions. I love the 300 one! I, for one, would like to see links to buy these.

It's a dream of mine to do some graphic design for Lego but I don't think they'll take my ideas if I send the company an email about them. As for your question about transferring my designs, I would like to do it first especially with the 300 shirt. That's my dream shirt and I've been trying hard to have it printed: couldn't do it at school, Staples is too expensive, and I won't produce it by transfer paper (it always turns out bad ). I'm glad your interested, the whole bunch of you too, but I want to be the first to produce it .

Well you should keep up with that dream, because you'd do great as a designer of shirts for lego. Alot of AFOLs would buy them for sure.

Is it possible to have the design file for 300 though ? I for one have a way to get professional transfers and I'd kill to have one with this printed

Amazing Pigbrick, amazing . I just the "300" one, it is cool and very original (That one of my favorite phrases in the movie ) and the "Army Builder" one is amazing too. You should send the mail to TLC and they take note of your talent and they pay some $ to you for your designs .
