Tordenskjold Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 last week i heard the sweet thunder from firing cannons and it is always a noise that make me smile :) great design on the cannon. hope you wont mind if i try to make one or two of them to my own naval shipw . have a nice day thunder Quote
DNL Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 These cannons are great! I thought i was the first one using palm tree trunks for cannons. Great idea to use pots for the thicker part of the cannon, I didn't find a way to do that. Groeten, DNL Quote
SlyOwl Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I like! The only trouble I can see is the roughness around the edges of the palm tree bits, but that can't be helped If only they'd make a cone that's in-between the 1x1 and 2x2 I saw the gun was indexed. So many thanks to the admins! However, it is modeled after a 32 pounder gun in a 1:40 minifig scale according to original specs. So, I'm sure the scale of the gun is correct for a genuine 32 pounder, although it is currently listed as a 12 pounder. I can understand since the design is sleek , but its barrel is 1.5 suds larger than the original lego gun in real life. My bad I don't know much about cannon sizes - I've corrected it now, and indexed both. Quote
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Very good! i though, if possible, would try to use cheese slopes instead of 1x1 plates. Just my opinion. Quote
Thomas B. Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Do you mind if I use that design for my MOCs? I'll give you full credit. It's the best cannon I've ever seen, even better than TLG's! Quote
DarthPineapple Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 I agree, this is a very cool and amazing cannon! Quote
Teddy Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Dear all, thanks for all the cool comments! I'm glad most of you like my gun design. Sure you can use it in your MOCs. That is the main reason for posting it. Kind regards, Teddy Quote
