Hinckley Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Found this on Brickshelf and thinks it's pretty darn cool: Full gallery Quote
Skinny Boy Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Saw this a few minutes ago. Its great but I would like to see more pics. I love the one of the guard checking the cells. Quote
tin7_creations Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 This thing is AMAZING! Are those just vignettes of the inside? Or are the rooms actually built into the building? Quote
Norro Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 That is a pretty nice building. I would enjoy seeing some more shots... God Bless, Nathan Quote
hamilton Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 A few more pics to be found at Mocpages. i believe it to be quite bad form not to credit the builder (Alex Eylar BTW) when posting a link. Quote

Shoc Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 (edited) Wow, that's really nice! It would be better if there was more outside view but I love the constructions, and I like Arkham Asylum anyway (as a building of Batman villains). Edit: This is my 666th post! Post of the devil, haha. :skull: Edited August 11, 2008 by Shoc Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Yeah that is a great building, i wonder if there's a roof and indeed the interior is in, or that they are vigs... I wish the builder could join us in this discussion. Edit: This is my 666th post! Post of the devil, haha. Stop mentioning post counts, thank you! Quote
Shoc Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Stop mentioning post counts, thank you! I don't do it often... :skull: Quote

Why would you sit here on EB and expect the builder to come answer your questions? It only takes a single click and a little reading to work out the answers for yourself. Or if you really need a response from the builder, it only takes a modicum of effort to go to Flickr and mail him there. Whilst EB is a wonderful resource and forum for discussion, it is only one of many sites that make up the online Lego community. Edited August 11, 2008 by hamilton Quote
Adam Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Awesome! I love the structure, and the vigs/rooms are really creative. Nice find, Hinckley! Quote
Brainbox Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 A very nice building, and there are some great shots in there as well, even if there aren't that many. The exterior is gothic and Arkham-ish, and the interior is just as cool. Great find. Quote
Joebot Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 It's all so smooth and tile-y! Very nice atmospheric pictures too. Quote

ForceMaster Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 My god, is simply wonderful construction! How many details have left on windows and a tile in a Riddler's room?! As all is realistic and it is beautiful.... And Gotam's atmosphere is felt... Excellent work, thanks Hinkley!) Quote
BlueBard Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Wonderful! Great find, Hinckley BTW, someone knows where are the security guards torsos from? Quote
Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I belive there from the actual set of Arkham . Thats a great find Hinckley, I wonder who made it? Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Very nice work! The low lighting gives it that dark, Gothamy (word?) feeling. I was browsing the gallery and found his Twilight Zone Vigs....the "Thing on the Wing" one is AMAZING! I forget the title of it at the moment, but do check it out. I actually got a quick chill down my back because I can remember seeing this when I was younger in black and white, and it is just the coolest vig I have seen! Really a sweet gallery all around. I actually got a quick chill down my back because I can remember seeing this when I was younger in black and white, and it is just the coolest vig I have seen! I love the Twilight Zone! Rod Serling is brilliant! I am so going to look up that creation Anyway, as for Arkham, it is very cool. Love the dark gothic atmosphere, especially on the inside. The whole thing is made very well, the photography also helps this. One thing I don't like is the outside look though, its a bit generic in my opinion. When I first saw it I thought it was a school, and it still looks a little that way. However, it is brilliant on the whole, I'll definitely take some inspiration from it. Batbrick Away! Quote
