August 15, 200816 yr I loved this ship in the movie and although it crashed, it's going to be in the series as well. and I'm about to order it from S@H.
August 15, 200816 yr Now that I've seen the inside of the ship, It could be a fun MODing project, saying I get the money to buy this. And I don't want to pay $90.00 for it, all it does is fly, go through Hyperspace, and then crash. Cool
August 16, 200816 yr Vert film accurate - I bought it the day it came out Its not a bad set, the interior has so many modding opps....if you can actually get to the interior.....
August 16, 200816 yr Thanks for this great review .. you've just saved me £70 ;) I really don't want this set ... unless it's in a mega sale. I can't even see this changing post seeing the film, I just think this is an ugly set! Edited August 16, 200816 yr by Big Pete
August 16, 200816 yr Does any body know if Anakin gets the ship out of the dirt after he crshes? I he does I'll buy it, but just because the figs and it may be important to the series.

I think it is taken by the jawas. If you remember in the film Anakin and Ashoka leave the Twilight and the jawas start to arrive in the scene .
August 16, 200816 yr True. That makes you think they should have added Jawas to the set....... Or the protocol droid, or battle droids to make it worth your money.
August 16, 200816 yr Concerning the fate of The Twilight: According to the visual guide, he will be using the ship in later missions in the TV series.
August 17, 200816 yr I just bought this set and I actually impresses me. I've not finished building it yet, but it is actually quite good. It holds a lot of usefull bricks and awesome minifigs. Yes, I like the fleshtones and the hordes of jedi knights that we're getting at the moment.
August 17, 200816 yr Fantastic review Svelte Corps! I like the alternate use for the rear deck I've never minded the design of the Twilight and your photos do make it look great. It follows a classic sci-fi spaceship aesthetic that says you don't have to be symmetrical or aerodynamic to look cool. It also looks like it could be a great clone carrier with some interior modding. Still not sure if it'd be high on my priority list, but I'd definately consider it at a sale price.
March 1, 200916 yr I like your review but the set its'nt that great. never thought of using Ahsoks's head thing as a octopus! Loved the garden deck too! That gave me some ideas so I might get this, I'll probaly get the AT-OT and LAAC. I'm sending that post card to some friends that are AFOL too. Anikan looks funny as a farmer. March 1, 200916 yr Hate to mini mod but please dont dig up threads that are nearly 7 months old. Hate to be the mod but commenting on reviews is allowed and as long as the comments are good, I'll allow it. @commandercody77 - you've been posting a lot lately and you should consider wether you really have to post in every topic or not. Your excessive posting looks/smells like a post count boosting to me.
March 1, 200916 yr Author Since this thread *has* been revived... I've been catching up on the CW animated series and in light of the show it is pleasing to see how well the Lego designers captured the spirit and the aesthetics of this ship. In particular the manoeuvrability of the wings is impressive and really screen-accurate. Sure, it's still way too big scale-wise, but I've grown to like it a lot more since I've seen the swooshy orginal in action It will be disconcerting to put it next to the new Venator though as it doesn't look to be too much smaller
March 1, 200916 yr Sure, it's still way too big scale-wise, but I've grown to like it a lot more since I've seen the swooshy orginal in action Agreed. That's how I feel about it too. Not sure I'll use the term 'swooshy' on this lunchbox-spacecraft though.
March 1, 200916 yr Author Agreed. That's how I feel about it too. Not sure I'll use the term 'swooshy' on this lunchbox-spacecraft though. As swooshy as a giant flying lunchbox can be then I was thinking of the way the wings fold up when its entering a hangar. It had a reputation as a clunker from the movie, but it actually zips along very speedily And no Rotta so far in the series either! Woo! Complete lack of 'Stinky' jokes! Bonus points!

The designers did a great job, and I'm glad it didnt stay with the rather brief appearances in the Clone Wars movie. In the CW series it's got a big role, appearing lots of times - so we can enjoy the similarities between the lego design and on-screen appearance. I just dont think it's too big scale-wise. I rather think it's too small, but I'm glad TLC didnt make it bigger. In the series it can easily fit Anakin's fighter.
March 3, 200916 yr the size is .....so huge.....and heavy...... if i rank the henya droid bomber is the worst star war set ever.... then this one should be the second...btw....can a kid "play" with this toy.....? minifigs<------weak, why dont i just grab 7675? built<----------technic oriented design<-------huge....what a the purposes for the back deck!!! piece<---------tons of Grey plate, technic pin.....for what? However....the author of this REVIEW DID A REALLY GREAT JOB!!! EXCELLENT!!! I love the way you use for the back....look nice and make fun for the review! actually ...ahsoka tano is great with inferno's hair....look neat and clean! Edited March 3, 200916 yr by kaka1987
October 25, 200915 yr I bought and built this set today. Toys R Us Japan has just marked it down to 3,000 yen! Down from 15,000! I'm debating buying the existing stock to sell later. I really enjoyed building it. It was quite complicated, and took a lot of thought. I think I'll have to start looking at Technic sets, since I dig the complex sets. A far more pleasant set than I expected. I liked it
October 25, 200915 yr Saw this set around but it never appealed to me. Poor minifig selection, large, uninspired design (though it's hardly TLG's fault) and a high price point. The review was excellent and pointed out that it just came out at a very unfortunate time when people were lapping up the other great CW sets so this has to be the ugly duckling of the line. I'm sure if it came out during a SW lego drought, plenty would snap it up just to get their lego fix. I think massive price cuts on this set are almost universal, this thing was cut from $150 -> $100 AUD quite swiftly and has remained that way.
October 26, 200915 yr I brought this set a while ago for 50% off at shop at home and it still looks ugly even for that price. I ended up selling it cause i just don't have the space for it. Nothing too special about this set as all the minifigures you can get from AT-Te and you get captain rex as well.
October 26, 200915 yr Great Review Svelte! I wish I could have goten this set, but sadly at the time it was alittle to expensive for me Very nice Review! CommanderFox
