will these be available in Canadian McDonald's or just in the US?

The same Happy Meals programs run in the U.S. and Canada.

Anyone see a potential date? They've got the SW ones out right now, but there are about 20 of those things... I'm thinking 20 weeks (or even 10 if they double up) is way too long.

Cool. I didn't catch that on the website. I feel sorry for those of you "Down Under". Doesn't seem like a lot of folks trade on this site - maybe we can work something out. We still can't get the New Blue "Good" Wizard here in the States...

The best Mickey D's Lego Promotions were the ones with the people-(ronald mcdonald, hamburglar) as little vehicles. I think it was a while back (maybe like 7 years ago!) I have this one: 2032-1.jpg

I think it's fairly safe to expect these will be similar to what is in the photo on the webpage. It will be large figures(probably 3 to 4 inches tall) with one or two moving parts(arms/head) and something that shoots or is thrown. The sports promotion is pretty close to what I'm expecting.

I eat at McDonalds a couple times a month and would happily grab happy meals if they were true minifigs or even nice brick sets. Sadly, a previous poster hit the nail on the head when saying that the small bits on a minifig make it highly unlikely they will be given away. :sceptic:

Follow this link to see a pic of the upcoming McDonalds LEGO Batman toys on the Legions of Gotham website.

Pretty much what I expected. The characters look to be one piece figures with an action feature or accessory. With his outstretched arm, Batman probably flings a batarang. Robin has a giant grappling gun/cannon. Mr. Freeze comes with a freeze cannon. And the Joker has what appears to be a giant Jack-in-the-Box. Hopefully the Jack-in-the-Box pops open to reveal a giant Joker head - that I could use in a Joker's lair MOC.

The vehicles look to be one piece molds that only resemble vehicles made out of LEGO bricks. This whole line ought to carry the disclaimer "No actual LEGO was used in the making of these toys." :hmpf_bad:

oh god why do those figures look that way?

if you cant give something good then give nothing at all!!

I don't think we will see this in Belgium, but I have to say: they look pretty nice, like action figures. Yes, it isn't the real deal, but it isn't based on LEGO Batman, it's based on LEGO Batman: the videogame.

If they are real LEGO figs, I'd be happy to buy them all in one go. If they are just ugly, megablok pieces or Galidor- like figs, then that would be a real disappointment...

Of course they aren't "real LEGO figs" - just look at the way their arms and legs look! I don't even think you can move them. :hmpf_bad:

But there is still a slight chance that the vehicles might be really brick-built. :sweet: That would be neat!

The "figs" don't look too bad though. I might actually pick a couple of them up. Just to put them on display and show my fandom for Lego & Batman.

the penguin toy looks *somewhat* like a minifig. it's difficult to make out, but you can see it right above the batman logo at the bottom of the display.

I think (and hope) they look like that for art purposes; remember how the figs look on the video boxes? In real life, there would be no way that a minifig could move like that, but it looked cool.
