Hello,

I was just trying out some color combinations for my Home Guards. Which of these combinations looks the best?

With white pith

With tan pith

With dark blue-gray pith

All together

I will be out of town this weekend, but when I get back, I will be posting new pictures of my updated army.

Mmmm difficult...

I would say the one on the right in the first picture looks best.

The one on the left in the first picture is second best for me.

But the versions with the red imperial guards torso's still look a bit better.

I like the white trousers tan pith the best.

But 'm with boney here, the pith looks much better on the redcoat's torso.

Have you considered making them like this?:

I think the hats made out of wheels would look really cool, and gives a bit of variet next to the pith helmets.

Looking forward to seeing that army of yours!

Looking at the choices with my limited knowledge, I think the one on the extreme left wearing white pith or dark blue-gray pith works the best for me. I like the white very much. :pir-blush:

The white legs look nice on all of them, but I don't really like the black legs on them.

I'd go with:

white pith/white legs

dark tan pith/tan legs

dark bley pith/dark tan legs

(at least if you don't want to use the same coloured legs more than once)

For the first I would pick White pith with tan legs.

I dont know about the others.

I've added pole options!

Vote now and let us know what your choice are and why.

I like White Pith w/ White Pants.

It seems to match with the torso the best.

Maybe have White Pith w/ White Pants for officers only

and have a different color for enlisted men.

I think the tan pith is dark tan and grey legs should be dark tan legs in the poll :pir-classic:

Kind of a hard desision to choose just one, the white and dark tan piths look nice with either white, tan or dark tan legs, the dark bley pith looks nicest with dark tan I think. But white/dark tan pith with white/tan/dark tan legs look best out of all, can't decide on a single one.

Thanks for the poll Phred. And thanks for everyone's opinion. I have a slight color deficiency, so none of these combos seems that bad to me. Unfortunately the poll confirms my fear. I also like the white pith/white legs combo, but finding white piths for my redcoats is hard enough. I thought I could get away with the dark blue-gray pith with white legs for the bluecoats.

I got the tan pith for my artillery company, but thought it might look good on the blue torsos. My goal is to have white piths for all my redcoats, high command staff, and logistics/maneuver support. so I only need about 400 more... :pir-grin:

No problem mate! :pir-wink:

You could always do what i always do with stuff like this, use what's cheapest if you think it looks good.

I really wanted my constitution to be in old brown, but the bricks were getting fewer and more costly, so i used rown instead.

I think Blay Pith with White pants would make a good (second-best) combo.

Especially with the Blue uniforms IMO.

I know what you mean Phred, but i like the rown on my ship, looks more like oak :pir-sweet:

Sometimes you have to work with what is available and there is definitly no shame in that!

Great army general, keep it up!
