pedro Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Hey everyone, I've just uploaded new photos of my AT-ST on Brickshelf. After being disappointed by Lego's second attempt at the wallker, I decided to build my own version... and it fits two pilots too Here's the first exterior shot: Front: Another quarter view: Front detail: The rear of the 'head': Detaching the top and back to access the interior: Interior with two pilots... ...and without. Top hatch opened with pilot ready for a fight! Here's the link to my gallery (when moderated): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=336664 Please take a look and feel free to comment. Cheers! Quote
Skinny Boy Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Thats really great. The two pilots look a bit squished, but definitely better than TLC's. Quote
BoomZhanker Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 This creation of yours is neat! Quite Compact, no odd loose ends Quote
KimT Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Great work pedro. I'll index this on Sunday, not at home for the weekend and working the index on this slower pc is a menace. I like your solutions and the design. Now that's an AT-ST Quote
Manta Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 The pilots look kinda squished, but other than that it's really great, detailed, kinda like a minifig scale UCS model. Quote
pedro Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Thanks for your comments! Aye, there's not a massive amount of room for the pilots but they do fit in there snugly. I wanted to keep the design as true as possible to the movies and maintain the right proportions while keeping the model at minifig scale, so had to sacrifice a little room in the cockpit. I could imagine that there wouldn't be a lot of breathing-space in the real thing anyway! Quote
pedro Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 Could you add this to the MOC index for me please KimT? Thanks in advance Quote
KimT Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Could you add this to the MOC index for me please KimT?Thanks in advance Erhm..sure. I missed this topic, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Awesome work and perfect pictures as usual Quote
pr0visorak Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 This is a really nice moc!Can you try putting it with chewbacca and take a picture because it would really look nice like in the scene of star wars episode 6.I like the copit but it is a bit small. You might want to make it bigger a bit.Besides that, good job! Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 It's perfect. To all those who think the cockpit is too small - it's just right - this is a war machine, not a sedan! It's pretty accurate to the kind of interior space available as demonstrated in ROTJ. Have you ever been inside a Tank? They aren't exactly equipped with luxuries - such as extra space. Dr. S. Quote

Bullseye Dr. S. That's exactly what I was about to say and I've been in a tank and an APC...no swimming pools there This is a perfect AT-ST design Quote
PJSKittles Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Wow, looks nicer than the official AT-STs haha. *high five* Quote
ForceMaster Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 pedro Oh, good mod! 2 Now 2 seats, not one, improved management, regular shape, excellent feet! An association comes with a film fast! Thanks for the good MOC) Quote
The Rancor Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 but definitely better than TLC's. I really is but unfortunately this would cost more because I think it has more parts and 2 minifigs. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Very nicely done; definitely better than TLGs. Quote
SWMAN Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Thats good. I like that is look more like the UCS one, but is minifig scale. Quote
BlueBard Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Impressive AT-ST! I find it pretty closer to the original and, of course, much better than the TLC one Quote
bullet8542 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 That is so cool, I have been toying around with the idea of building one of them, Ans know I will try my hand at it. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Ras 74 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Very nice MOC Pedro. I never got along with the re-design that TLC did. I might be one of a few that likes the old design better. Specially when the colours are changed. This is by far one of the best I have seen so far. Keep it up! -Ras- Quote
Asuka Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 An impressive and very accurate looking work, just smart! Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Well done for sure, the interior is what stands out most to me, great job on getting the two troopers in there and the rest is very well done as well, keep up the good work =] Quote
pedro Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 Thanks again for all the great comments, I really appreciate it! I wanted to create an AT-ST as authentic as possible so used lots of reference pictures. Having the capacity for two pilots is a feature we've all hoped for in Lego's releases but never got so it made a lot of sense for me to include that in my MOC. I'm glad you all like it! This is a really nice moc!Can you try putting it with chewbacca and take a picture because it would really look nice like in the scene of star wars episode 6. I'll see what I can do! Quote
KimT Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I've added it to the MOC, MOD and Diorama index. Thanks for posting your great work pedro. I'm amazed at the skill you posses Quote
CloneMe Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Wow, I tried that but mine turned out to be a disaster. That looks really good. Quote
Nick6314 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 AWESOME. Eurobricks needs like button. Quote
