thanks for all your cool replies. I am planning to extend the current moat around the castle.

Currently, the landscape is modular as well, so I'll make some additional blue base sections and extend the raised courtyard sections to the back.

I'm not sure if I'll extend the width of the landscape, because it wouldn't fit anywhere except the livingroom floor.

And my poor girlfriend is already swamped in bricks....

I need a bigger house.

I am going to build an interior, since I enjoy having minifigs in action on the inside.

Strangely I only started to do interiors lately, before I didn't bodder. But now I really like the extra element they bring to a MOC.

I had an initial plan, but I decided to do it differently, so now I'm not entirely sure anymore how I will make the interior.

Cool! I think it's a good idea to use your latest building as throne room, like you mentioned earlier. Maybe it's a good idea to hang a chandler on the ceiling; just an idea

Honestly, with a MOC this scale, a larger landscape is probably more of a burden than a benefit. As long as the moat goes around the castle I think your good. In fact, if you're going to do any more landscaping I would suggest extending the front section out further allowing for a possible seige rather than adding additional width. While seeing the edges of the moat around the castle is nice, it really isn't necessary.

Personally, I find that the way an interior evolves can be quite accidental. Planning an interior depends greatly on how each module opens up. Often you may intend to build a certain interior structure only to find that in order to accommodate a certain module you need to build something completely different. Stables can become a dungeon; a kitchen becomes a library; and a great hall finds itself looking completely different than you first imagined. Perhaps this is why I love building interiors. It requires you to constantly reconsider your plans.

Oh.....my....god....you have improved so much and it looks AWESOME! It is defianitly the best castle I have ever seen! I love the architectural designs and the scenery! Do you have like, unlimited soldiers!?! If your castle is big enough, you could make a torture room to torture your victims and a giant cage, so you can put a dragon inside of it.....and take over the kingdom!

Every time I see it, I am always stunned! Awesome, just awesome.

Though your pics are dark as said, there is no mistaking the sheer size and scope of this undertaking. You must have bought a lot of light bley by now Im very envious of this project, and if you ever want to submit a module for EBCCB drop on over.

I had exactly the same problem as you Teddy. All I did was build an exterior freeform and thendecide from then on on what to base your module on. (To be honest you could just use your whole castle)

P.s. If you are going to join the build then make sure you get on the beta team

I've collected the army mostly from the "Crossbow Attack" 7090 set and the "The Knight" 5615 set.

Which I find to be great army builders.

Only thing left now is to complete the interior and courtyard buildings.

One minor thing that is bothering me: what's up with that one white tree on the right, did you run out of brown pieces?

How about maybe adding a watch tower down the line, or maybe some type of water craft?

the white tree is ment to be a Birch tree wikipage. Those trees are quite common in this part of Europe.

There bark of a birch tree is mainly white with black spots. A watchtower and a watercraft is a good idea.
