KimT Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Wow. Those are truly great. I wish they'd done the Medieval Market Village like that. Quote
Teddy Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 (edited) Wow.Those are truly great. I wish they'd done the Medieval Market Village like that. Thanks KimT, I really like the Medieval Market Village as well. So this is a huge compliment for me. I will make some photos of them together with the MMV this afternoon. I was wondering if we could make something like a community city build or so. In addition to the community castle build. with a town layout, and a church, townhall and such. Just a thought. Teddy Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) Im amazed how well this is going! The court yard houses are great! Thanks General armendariz, I was in Koln for the Carnaval last week and went to the local Lego store to collect some bricks from the pick-a-brick wall for this beast. Unfortunately, they did not have the bricks I need for the interior right now. Oh well... I think I will start focussing more on the HMS Victory MOC for now, and try to add some usefull bricks for the castle in my bricklink orders for the ship. So progress will be slow for now. Question to the admins: I don't know if the castle can be indexed without the interior? Than again, I might update the exterior a bit if necessary. Kind regards, Teddy Edited February 26, 2009 by Teddy Quote
Sir Dillon Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Question to the admins: I don't know if the castle can be indexed without the interior? Than again, I might update the exterior a bit if necessary. As of now, I don't index work in progresses. However, I have no problem indexing this now, and then replacing it when you are finished, if that's what you would like. This is a great creation and I look forward to its completion, even if it is not for some time. Quote

Spyder Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Sheer awesomeness! My favorite part is the autumn trees. Quote
blueandwhite Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Great work on the interior buildings! I really love how much this MOC has improved since you first started showing us almost a year ago. I've been working on a similar sized castle now for about 2 years, so I know how much time can be invested into something like this. The cost alone is quite daunting. Congratulations on a great MOC and good luck with the Victory! I look forward to seeing her as she develops. Quote

Or do you prefer to keep it a secret untill its finished? Kind regards, Teddy Quote

Kind regards, Teddy I'm probably going to keep a wrap on it until the summer. It's been a very challenging, yet pleasurable build. Quote

Captain Cavinano Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 This castle is very great and your gate is awsome! But if you can build this: It would be much much much more better! Quote
Dwarvenlord Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 It would be much much much more better! Well, that pretty much depends on how you build that castle... if it's horribily built, i would rather prefer the first one Quote
Millacol88 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I can't believe I didn't notice this until now. Incredible! Probably ranking among the best MOCs I've seen on this forum. Quote
Dwarfinator Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Simply stunning. I love the trees, and... so many Crownies! And the Castle itself... I'm not sure if I can explain how cool it is... Quote
Teddy Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 Thanks for all the cool replies. This weekend I found some time to do some updates. I made a new courtyard building and updated the old ones. Next to this I used my girlfriends camera for better quality photos, and used new software to clean up the background of the photos. So here is a sample of the photos and some links to the new buildings. Kind regards, Teddy The current courtyard: The courtyard buildings: details: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Johanvan...f0959correl.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Johanvan...f0961correl.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Johanvan...f0963correl.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Johanvan...f0966correl.jpg Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Good to have you back Johan! I love the work you did on the castle, the courtyard and all the added little details make this a masterpiece. The updated landscaping is beautiful as well. I guess you can mod it indefinitly, that is what i like about these big models. Quote
Guss Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Welcome back.. this project turned big.. very big, and beautiful, and amazing, I just love it! great job! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Awesome work Teddy! The castle looks so realistic, it really splats out of my computer screen. The courtyard buildings are very nice as well, as well the landscaping outside the castle walls. A few custom ducks or some other nature in the water would add a lot, I see some greenery in there but that's only a small ammount. And you have a lot of crownies in there! Quote
General Armendariz Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 A very great job! I love everything especially the little houses Quote
