Hinckley Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Dempsey Dog's Book Store Dempsey the Dog own a bookstore in the Fabuland Olde Town Square. (Gamlastan? ) All the Fabuland residents get their books from Dempsey and not that big fancy Borders that opened up down the street. Dempsey runs a book club and occasionally has exciting events and book signings. Everyone knows there's a second floor, but no one know what's up there, or even how to get up there. But it's a very nice place to hang out and spend some peaceful time by the fountain, and wait to see what might pass by on the train tracks... Jipay Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Excellent work ! This MOC has the flavour of a late 18 century building. Beautfully detailed ! The fact that the pony is using you as a "horse" is just so funny Are those tracks a hint at an upcoming tramway ? Quote
AwesomeStar Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Yay trams! Please please please! Trams are like the awesomist things on earth. Besides Lego and chocolate. Lego should make a tram. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Very nicely done - are you going to start a fabuland cafe corner project. Poor Dwarf - I hope someone frees him. Quote
Adam Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Excellent MOC! I love the human-drawn tram, I laughed out loud when I saw that. Great job on the building too, very nicely done. I love the way you did the windows- the brown color-scheme really works well for that! The fountain is also well done, love the dolphins/whatever on the side. Quote
Hinckley Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 The fact that the pony is using you as a "horse" is just so funny That's not me! That doesn't even look like me! Sir Nadroj thought the dwarf was me. Do you guys really think I'm that much of a narcissist? Well, thanks for the nice compliments everybody. That face is actually Sir Nadroj's but I used it just because it's scared and I figure a man pulling a horse on a cart would be a little freaked out... Quote
