Derek Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) EDIT: Deleted by request of whung. Edit by Hinckley: You may be tempted to post pics of the '09 sets that have been going around flickr and Brickshelf. They are blurry and appear to have been taken through a glass of dirty water. Do not post those here. They are prelims and against site policy. Thank you. Very sorry! I guess this can be closed, or used for speculation... Thanks to Skipper for even better new pics! Thanks to metalandi: Thanks to whung: 2009 City Promo set 5642 Tipper Truck (similar to 5625-5627 in 2008) Instruction link: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4550227.pdf 7643 Air Show Plane Instruction link: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4549574.pdf Instruction link: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4549573.pdf Edit: Thanks to legomilk for sharing these new Advent Calendar images. AgentRick Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Farms? New Constructions? City life? VESTAS PRODUCT? THIS IS EVERYTHING I IMAGINED!! Although some information on the trains would be good. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 This is awesome news! I just hope the sets aren't overly large and fit in nicely with existing towns. Imagine these classics: 6359 Horse Trailer - 1986 6694 Car w/ Camper - 1984 6351 Surf N' Sail Camper - 1992 6379 Riding Stable - 1986 6504 Tractor - 1988 A farm, horses, tractors, plus a camper. This sounds like a really neat theme. Quote
Hewman Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 The farm and garage are the ones that have got my interest so far. I was hoping for a post office to go with this years post van and plane sets, well there's always 2010 and with the great amount of quality sets lego are putting out it'd be pretty pathetic to complain. mammymarf Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 awesome this is sweet so many new city sets hope they'll be real! BBQ Stands sound like a cool impulse Quote
5150 Lego Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 This is awesome news! This sounds like a really neat theme. Wow, modern versions of these sets would be awsome! Espeacailly the camper. But doesn't that seem like alot of city sets to be realesed for one year? Granted its just speculation at this point, but if we can get the horse trailer/4WD, camper, harvester/combine, and heavy duty tow truck i'd be happy. Its been quite a while since we've had anything like these in the city line. Quote
Freddie Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 What? It's already that time of the year, again!? *clicks link* I spy... a creator town building set But what's this "Metro/LEGO® Giant Box"? for something, it's under the creator moniker as well. Moderators, I sense, based on my own eagerness, that this thread can go way off the town/train theme. Quote
zeki Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 this will be amazing! i cant' wait to see more Quote
AwesomeStar Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 No milk float? Milk Man is condemned to blockiness... Quote
skinkfem Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 this seems more like an afols wishlist than anything lego would consider releasing. i´m highly doubtful. Quote
metalandi Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 If that's true, that's VERY promising. I'd buy them all Quote
BatonMedved Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Agree with you. But nevertheless, as i said new Construction set, as i`ve posted earlier. Quote
Dr. Brick Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 VESTAS PRODUCT!!!! Farms? This is soooo goood. Now is this a list that can be trusted or will they all be promo sets only given to 1 or 2 employees and then sold on ebay for €500? 2009 on!!!! Dr. Brick Quote
Darth_Legois Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) EDIT: list removed Edited August 19, 2008 by KimT Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted August 19, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted August 19, 2008 I have very high hopes for the farm set. I hope it brings us a wide variety of animals which would be useful in all Themes. I would love to see systems versions of these Duplo sets: Quote
Joebot Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Wow, lots of potentially interesting stuff in here. New construction sets aren't much of a surprise (it was either that or new police sets). The farm sets though ... man, all I can say is: What the #&*&@ took them so long?!?!? They've been making Duplo farm sets forever! Why no System farm sets? I can't wait to see pictures. I'm also intrigued by the "City Life" set. What could this be?? I'm hoping it's an "accessory set" with stuff like lightposts, mailboxes, street vendors, newspaper stands, etc. Just a small set of neat accessories that can add details to your city. But, we'll see ... I'm surprised that there's no info on the newly redesigned Train sets. Maybe that's coming later in the year. Quote
Holodoc Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 All I say is: Give me pics! Then we´ll see. But IF TLC is really releasing these sets, it will be a blast. Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 A combine harvester?? I didn't even imagine that in my wildest dreams! Let's hope that this is true, and if it is that it will be good! Quote
Freddie Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 All I say is: Give me pics! Then we´ll see. But IF TLC is really releasing these sets, it will be a blast. How often has Whung been off with his "predictions"? Quote
Pencoin Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Never and this Backs up other rumors and the Famyard figure seen in the display A combine harvester heh? That could kill a few guys . Quote
Derek Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) Whung requested I remove the list, as it is merely speculation, and not real. Please end converstion of the list I posted earlier. I'm really sorry, I suppose this could be closed, or used for speculation of 2009. Edited August 19, 2008 by darthperson Quote
