The Cobra Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) I would have said "black", but now I'm not so sure. If you look at the pdf, page 23, the female hair piece isn't listed with black or brown pieces. It's the only one in its color, whatever color it is. Sort of "Dark brown". And if you search for replacement parts on the Lego customer service page, the set is there, but that piece isn't. Edited January 3, 2009 by The Cobra Quote
Derek Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 I don't think it is. In the instructions it looks clearly different than the helmet ogf the pilot, which is definitely brown. True, but the ponytail piece was originally cast in dark brown, it would not make sense for them to do a new color just for a promo (unless a black ponytail is in another 2009 set ) Quote

Quite expensive to me if I wish to have more female minifigures. No news about new train sets? I had already known LEGO is going to take away USD645/- from my pocket. It is not included of train sets, wind turbine, factory sets and promotion models. :( Quote

It seemed the usual RC train sets of Passenger Train and Cargo Train will still be available this year. Local retail shops seemed to be bringing in these sets once again. Quote

WhiteFang Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Then.... have you listened some news about new road plates or plants (Trees or flowers) are going to release into market?Wind Turbine is also launched officially? You meant the Wind Turbine Transport? I speculate that it will released in Summer, and be available in July or August. There is no news of newer versions of road plates. I believe they might re-released the previous roadplates edition few years ago. However, these are not certain and is not specify in countries and regions. For the plants and trees, I have heard no rumors about these at the moment. Quote

From what I know I must partly disagree with you, WhiteFang: It's right that that there will be no regular sold train sets this year (or at least it seems so). But I think that there'll be an exclusive train set this year: There is something city known for new trains. to shop at home comes from 1 ge I heard. so if somebody knows something more (source) Klaus-Dieter Quote
Dennimator Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Then.... have you listened some news about new road plates or plants (Trees or flowers) are going to release into market?Wind Turbine is also launched officially? I believe that the Wind turbine is launched, yes: The wind turbine transporter is the same one as Vestas and is almost the same as of the Vestas Shangai airport exhibition. Already seen a pic of it Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I believe that the Wind turbine is launched, yes: I believe and hope that, too! But since it'll come with a (supposably big) transport vehicle it surely will be not cheap. I'm even surprised whether it'll stand directly on the ground or whether there will be a little mountain included (like in the 4999) on which it stands. Be that as it may - it surely will be a great set, awesome desgin and green energy for our Lego Citys!!! Klaus-Dieter Quote

But I think that there'll be an exclusive train set this year: K.D, thanks for highlighting this. I remember once, LegoMilk mentioned about this as well. The reason why I comment on this, is because it seemed local retailers in my region are bringing in RC train sets this year, despite of it being discontinued, which could prompt TLG to delay the launch of the new train system and that is the reason why I mentioned its mere guessing and speculation. However, I will look forward to new exclusive train set though. Quote

That means, they are the same, and the same color too. Quote

Dr. Brick Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I seem to remeber that three years ago, the pics of the new trains didn't arrive at the same time as the other sets. From my source (which I trust) I conclude that there will be new train sets in 2009. It will be a new system based on the Power Funtions. Dr. Brick Quote

Hinckley Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Vestas airport show: 1, 2, 3 & 4 Thanks for the nice pics, but we have already seen them in the Vesta's topic. This doesn't have much to do with City '09 anyway. Please do your best to keep these large thread discussions focused. Thank you. I checked the first post and I saw the weren't those pictures. I didn't saw "confidential" on these photos. There came from a dealer catalog that means that they are not confidential since the dealers have the catalog. Il they were confidential, TLC will not give them to dealers. Quote

If someone has to photograph them, TLG doesn't want them up. And TLG does send prelim pics to dealers so they can order product. That's how things are sold. And I've seen clear versions of these pics. They are stamped "confidential." Enough said. Please don't argue this. We know when pics are leaks, OK? Thanks. Quote
giorgio Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 By confidential, it means not for the general public to see. TLC give the catalogues to the dealers, as they will be the people selling them. So that's why they are not confidential since TLC has no power on its dealers. Does TLC asked EB to remove these photos ? Quote
Hinckley Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 So that's why they are not confidential since TLC has no power on its dealers. Does TLC asked EB to remove these photos ? This is our policy. I asked for you to remove them and I suggest you drop it now. This topic is about City '09 line not our posting policy. Our site guidelines are clear about not posting blurry prelim pics and not arguing with the staff. Please drop it. I think I've been quite clear. Thank you. Edit: giorgio, thanks for the great PM! Vestas airport show: 1, 2, 3 & 4 Thank you for your link. I believe I have missed out some information in certain period. So pity, the exhibition was once in Singapore Changi Airport...... But, I could not see what special of that wind turbine. And it is seem not created by LEGO bricks. Except the white small truck. I am quite alerted of LEGO using the words - "Transporter". LEGO could release only TV helicopter and trucks but without TV station in past.... Or mail plane without delivery base.... If I did not make mistake, I saw a "cute" bus stop sign in one of photo in Whitefang folder..... Quote
legomilk Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I once heard that the trains used by shop at home and not come out through the toy stores but I can imagine there mistakes. Additionally, there is now very difficult to find news for May to December 2009. there are already leaked out but there'll be more than we think. will be prosecuted Quote
