Hi.... apologise to all of you.....

I believe I should remove the summer sets blurred photos in my Brickshelf folder.

Frankly, I did not upload the photos at here and never mentioned the link in Brickshelf in beginning.

There were some comment about these photos should not be public.

Like what some friendly LEGO fans said..... I agree I should not upload these photos to Brickshelf.

We all are LEGO fans, should support LEGO.

Anyway, we all know LEGO is going to bring for us fantastic models.

Just same like the new Asia LEGOLAND in Malaysia..... make me exciting for past few days.

We should keep in waiting the days coming.

By the way, I hope the following Brickshelf folder holder can accept my advice.

Remove all of summer city sets.

We should wait for pretty catalogue.

Then we can have more further discussion.

I certainly hope that it comes with green BURPs, because I´ll just use the parts to build a 4999.

I, too, hope that the/a little mountain with green BURPs will be included in this set!

I mean: If the windmill is running with batteries and a motor then there has to be a mountain on which the wind power plant stand because there must be much place for the battery box. And a mountain with a bench, some foliage plants and a wind power plant on would simply look  !

If there isn't a little moutain included in this set, this would mean:

Either we have to buy the motor and the battery box seperately

or/and the battery box can't be hided and so you can see it.

I once heard that the trains used by shop at home and not come out through the toy stores but I can imagine there mistakes.

Additionally, there is now very difficult to find news for May to December 2009.

there are already leaked out but there'll be more than we think.

will be prosecuted

Thank you very much for that information, legomilk! :sweet:

I personally are without doubts that there won't be PF trains in regular toy shops this year since there will be already three City subthemes: construction, farm and "town" - and there haven't been more than three subthemes every year until now. Plus the German customer's catalogue doesn't show that the sale of RC train sets will only be as long as stock suffices.

So if there is a PF train this year it surely will be a S@H Exclusive.

I think that this train then surely will be a passenger train (although I'd prefer a cargo train since I don't own a cargo train yet) - perhaps a mixture between the Sant Fe sets and the Metroliner. Let's surprise us. :classic:

I don't know if anybody has recognized it yet, but there are now most of the new city sets instructions online, along with pirates and other themes. The ones from the farm sub-theme are, unfortunately, not yet up.

Posted

Right, i assume the others are not up yet cause the sets are yet to come out. Allthough the 3rd book of the farm is actually online since months, somebody posted a link a bunch of pages back.

The thing about the Vestas windmill is 4999 is that it is very, very big - about a metre tall from the bottom of the shaft and including the wingspan - and since it is basically hollow when it is in action it is really anchored in place by the weight of the battery box and held in place by technic pins and stabilised by the BURP covering.

Imagine this moving along on a truck  :

4999built.jpg

If the set is to be a transport I don't see how the windmill itself could possibly be the same size as the 4999 version. If the windmill is to be transported complete, even without the weight of a battery box holding it in place it would wobble whenever the transport moved. If it is transported in sections I don't see how it could then be assembled and be stable at the end point. And the transport itself would have to be massive!

I suspect that the windmill itself will be a scaled down version with power functions, or maybe the full-size 4999 version without, but I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised! The power functions alone would add $$$ to the set but I agree it would lose a lot of its charm to miss out on the little house and hill.

Breaking news! Brickshelf member Hippotam has got the new farm set "7634 Tractor" and reviewed it already. Check out his folder HERE.

Looks like a European release too since there's no piece count on the box. It is a sweet little set  and I like the stickers. The cheese grill detail is clever. Hopefully these Farm sets will be available soon!

Thanks, metalandi.

You are right, though i have not seen that around here yet.

It's a quite simple vehicle, but it's design works very well, and of course the torso of the minifig is great, and it's very smart from tLG to also include a shovel there.

I didn't note the "tipper bucket small" on the back form the earlier pics. That's a plus.

Minus are: the blue cap (why blue? it looks totally out of the color scheme) and the "airtight" driver's seat.

Metalandi, thanks for pointing out. The tractor looks real nice and lovely. I can't wait to own this myself as well. I wonder, if by any chance, if he is going to post a review here?

Well, to be honest, I just took the photos. I'll write the review today, if only I have time.

Sorry if already posted - Tow Truck

Edit by Hinckley: Please do not post blurry images of prelim sets here. When it's blurry, it's clear they've been photographed and TLG doesn't want them leaked. Try to read the topic a bit before posting. Thanks.

I totally agree with WhiteFang: Like all the other great Farm sets (apart from the horse trailer) and the amazing City set s in summer/fall I really can't wait to get this set! :cry_happy:

Since this set seems to be called Wind Turbine Transport I think that the transport vehicle will only carry the turbine itself - without "wings" and "tower".

Like somebody (I think it was Lord Santos) already mentioned: The lovely cottage will unluckily not be included in this set! :cry_sad:

Which concerns the height of the windmill I, too, fear that it would be much smallish than the Vestas wind power plant. :sceptic:

And which concerns the little mountain and the inclusion of the PF motor and battery box I could imagine both: no and yes. So we'll have to wait until we'll get more information and/or pics - but that regrettably surely will take until late spring.

But nevertheless the wind power plant will surely be a great set - whatever there'll be included and how big it will be.

Thanks for the pictures, hippotam! That tractor looks like a real beauty - and it's a breath of fresh air considering that it's the first real farm tractor in ages, if not ever (I can't recall if this is the first one with a design like this - anyone care to enlighten me?). I'll be sure to get this for my Farm display.

Honestly, I just don't get what it is with you and the Horse Trailer set, Klaus. Is it really so horrible just because it's 6 wide? Personally, I feel that it's one of the most well designed of the Farm line, and I don't understand why you're so turned off by it. :sceptic:

Agreed. While its defenatly fine and within your right not to like a set for any reason, this is really a great set. I too don't see whats so bad about it.

It's not only because of the 6-stuk-wideness that I don't like that car. The reasons are:

-m.g.bl.ck.sh trailer (the white part with the horse sticker on it)

-van without doors

-van without "back door" (for which there really would have been place!)

-trailer and van too big

The van is not the part which I dislike that much - the main part is the trailer which is too big and looks m.g.bl.ck.sh.

But that's my opinon. And imo you don't have to like every set although when you are a real Lego fanatican. :classic:

The white parts are megablokish? Um, those are curved windows in white, which have been around since the early 90's. They're also highly useful parts, so I feel that your complaint about them is unfounded. You're probably the first person I've met online who actually doesn't like those parts. :look:

Also, the trailer seems perfectly sized to me. It's big enough to hold the horse, but it's smaller than the truck itself, which makes it look fine, IMO. Personally, my opinion is that this kit is far superior to the previous horse trailer we've gotten, which was way back in 1992:

While your defenatly intitled to your opinion, your reasoning doesn't make sense. I don't understand the the complaint with the white window peices. This was a great way to give ample space to transport the horse and the fence. It flows very nicely in the design.

No doors?? How many vans, or anything has had doors in the last few years. (with execption of the Coast Gaurd 4x4).

But concidering that was 8 wide, i'm sure you hate that set too.

As for it being 6 wide, i realize that there are people that are stuck on 4 wide or nothing" mentality, so i guess there no convincing you other wise. The only thing i can say is this. Its time to "get with the times" so to speak. You can hate 6, 8 or wider vehicles all you want, but bottom line is TLC isn't going to stop making them and go back to only 4 wide vehicles anytime soon. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll apreaciate them and how well they really do fit in any city layout.

I will agree that you don't have to like every set that TLC comes out with. But it would

I'd also agree. While i don't think the old horse trailer set is bad, it does lack compared to the new one.

Not the same pieces in 6405, check the inventory. However, the 4WD with Horse Trailer is one of the best sets I've seen in a long time. Everything for City has been great lately, but I really love this set. Much better than some of the vehicles we got in the 90's and early 00's and an excellent return to civilian vehicle sets. It's just a beautiful set, IMO.

Now let's not go off too far on this set since people are looking to this topic for new '09 pics. If you guys really want to go on and on about why you do or don't like a certain set, take it MSN, PM or start a new topic. But, to keep things focused and to be fair to other members, move on please. Thanks...

Um, I think you misread my post, Hinck. I never claimed that those pieces were in 6405 - I was just using that kit as a comparison to the newer horse trailer, as they both are of the same subject. It is true that the curved windows have been around since the 90's - the Breezeway Cafe has them, for example. But I agree - let's get back on topic.

Anyway, is anyone else wondering a lot about that Wind Turbine transport kit? I honestly have no idea what they are aiming for in it - why couldn't they have just repackaged the Vestas kit and sell that, instead of trying to make a transport to carry a meter long construction? It sounds pretty weird, IMO. :look:

Are we positive that Transport Kit is the official name? If it is, I think they will have to release a smaller wind turbine than 4999. Re-packaging 4999 without the Vestas logo on it would of been ideal, but TLG is probably in some contract with Vestas that prevents them from doing so.

I totally agree with you, Yeow!

The licenses for the Vestas set surely don't allow TLG do release the same set (but without Vestas stickers) for the general public.

To the set name whung wrote in the 2009 sets (all) subforum:

Here I just add some new findings that have not been found before or confirmation of previous rumors.

[...]

7747 Wind Turbine Transport

Like already mentioned I don't know whether the wind power plant in this set will be smaller than the one in the Vestas set or not, whether it'll run with PF or not, whether there'll be a motor and a battery box included or not and even not whether this set will include the little mountain or not.

But about one thing I'm very sure: Since it is called Wind Turbine Transport the transport vehicle in this set surely will not transport the whole wind power plant (which would in reality even not be possible) but only the wind turbine. Why should it be named Wind Turbine Transport otherwise?!
