BlueBard Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I totally agree It would be really nice to see a set like 8402 but with bus (the vehicle (with a different line number if possible! ), the driver and two or three passengers and a little structure like a stop or maybe a semaphore). Maybe for 2010 winter? Quote
Darth_Legois Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 *Only* two, Darth_Legois? No, but seriously, I will buy two at the very, very least, but most likely more than that, seeing as I have bought multiple copies of such awesome city sets as they have been released in the past few years. Thanks to an in-store sale on 10184 Town Plan and 10185 Green Grocer (they had a whole shelf of these sets in damaged boxes), I was able to save significantly on these amazing sets, thanks to which I can now greatly expand my neighborhood. Yes only 2 I totally agree with you, Darth_Legois!I'd really like to have more busses and bus stations than only one, too. So I hope that TLG will release a little set which only would include a bus, a bus station and three minifigs. But at the moment I regrettably don't see that happen (since if so people which only want the bus wouldn't my the awesome City Corner set). Klaus-Dieter A bus station would be good, And it wouldnt have to be that big either. I agree with both of you guys. I think it would be nice if LEGO would come up with another bus, perhaps a double-decker bus or an articulated bus with the same colour theme and a bus stop / bus terminal. It would make it interesting to buy since that the second bus would be a different model but in the same company... A diffrent model but same company would be good. Quote

Dr. Brick Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 The Farm sets ar starting to appear in Belgium. I got the tractor and the combine harvester in Colruyt on monday. Dr. Brick Quote

About the bus lenght everybody's saying it's too short but I think it's correct for a MF size or, at least, consequential with the TLC patrons. If you look at the official Lego vehicles they're allways a bit too small (if we do a comparison with the real life ) I think it goes pretty well with the Corner City Set, a longer one would increase the price but maybe we could have another one longer in a new set as you say, Justin, or maybe in an exclusive set? bullet8542 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I am sure as most of us will if we find the bus too short we will just MOC it, I know I will. It is still a must have for my train/town layout. Quote
Ralph Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I agree, a modern version of this set would be an excellent addition to the City theme. A longer bus would be great, but I would be happy with just the same bus with diff route or line number. Ralph Quote

SeaKing61 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Farm sets are available in the UK. Not sure if this has been mentioned already, I haven't seen it. Apologies if I've missed it Laurie Quote
Derek Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 4899 Farm Promo Polybag. It would pretty much make my day if they released that as a mainstream impulse set. -darthperson Quote
Bricks Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Thats really one of the best promotions of the year I've got some other informations(I pool them together): -Only available at the 'Interspar' boutiques in France and Austria -Only available on 26 and 27 february 2009 -Only available with an exklusive coupon ~Too many ''only...'', but I hope to get my hands on one~ 'Bricks' Quote
metalandi Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 i just saw this, and finally one time i'm lucky i'm living in austria regarding lego sets! I've got an interspar just about 5 minutes away, gonna check it out tomorrow for sure! Quote

No, for the people who have this special coupon is the set for free! But the collectors will pay an abnormal price 'Bricks' Quote

Just assembled it yesterday. I had the coupon and went to an Interspar shop with it on Thursday in the morning. By the way, I think mainly children will have a happy time with this set. Most of the people who came were women, partly accompanied by a child. Concerning the other sets of this year: I'm quite suprised that there seems to be no Vestas-like set: a windmill on a truck, a windmill in a field or whatever. I thought that something was going to come because we could not get the limited Vestas windmill. Edited February 27, 2009 by legotrainfan Quote
Legoist Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 No, for the people who have this special coupon is the set for free! Hey that's I meant! It's free for the customers, so it means that Interspar (the company) is paying them and giving them for free for marketing reasons i.e. to attract customers to their shop or strengthen their loyalty. Klaus-Dieter Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 (edited) Thank you very much for that links on that little Farm promo set, legomilk and brick77! That's really a set! It's really a shame that TLG is often releasing that beautiful little sets as promos which many people (me included) are then not aible to get! But I think that this is more a stand-alone set since next to the new giant tractors it would look very small. Concerning the other sets of this year:I'm quite suprised that there seems to be no Vestas-like set: a windmill on a truck, a windmill in a field or whatever. I thought that something was going to come because we could not get the limited Vestas windmill. There'll actually be a set with a transport vehicle and a wind turbine - 7747 Wind Turbine Transport . But we haven't got pics until now (and regrettably we surely even have to wait until May or June to see some ). Klaus-Dieter Edited February 28, 2009 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

Since there were not this famous 7747 I dont think that Lego will relase this set this year. I regrettably have to disagree with you, giorgio! It's right that this City set wasn't shown at the US Toy Fair. But think about that there'll be some exclusive sets this year about which we know until some time (and perhaps even some sets about which we don't know until now) which weren't shown on this toy fair. I could well imagine the 7747 Wind Turbine Transport being a set similar to the CG Platform last year. This CG Platform was a "half-exclusive" set and the picture about this set did firstly appear in May or June. Plus this set is listed at Kiddiwinks - so it's very unsupposably that this set won't appear. Klaus-Dieter Quote
