Thank you very much for clarifying that, emilec!

It's very supposably like I feared: They surely meant the 7747 Wind Turbine Transport.

It would have been to good to see a merry-go-round! :cry_sad:

Klaus-Dieter

We can live in hope, however a merry-go-round and a wind turbine are two quite different things. Seems odd for them to reply yes to me saying "a merry-go-round?" and mistake the two. But, as you say they may well have just had a quick glance at a picture. Really wished i'd quizzed them more now as i was unaware of the turbine set you mentioned.

One more question: Did they really say that it is a set which goes with / looks alike Town Plan - or did you conclude that? Because: A wind power plant with transport vehicle can imo only very hardly be mixed up with a set alike Town Plan (with buildings which surely aren't part of 7747) - even if you can have a look at it for only some few seconds. :hmpf:

When they had problems with describing the set they talked about, it is very supposable that they either even don't know what a merry-go-round is or they intentionally told you something wrong since actually they aren't allowed to give away that secret information - and not even more when the release date is firstly in about four months.

I wonder why no one posted this here already, or did I miss it completely?

In the latest (german, but I think also european) Club Magazine there are pictures of the Camper and the Wind Turbine. (Unluckily I don't have a good camera in the moment, just the cell and that is shite. But I guess some people would like to see that..!) :classic:

I would definitely like to see pictures, regardless of the quality :sweet:

Yeah, in my magazine there was a massive picture of the pickup roadside truck from the garage and the garage in the background.

The magazine also read earlier that the next magazine would contain 'Top Secret information about new sets'.

I hope 'Top Secret' means as secret as the ATOT and Dropship was! :classic:

here you are: photos of the new wind turbine from Lego Club Magazine!

:classic:

(Also note the blue sedan, that looks different from the pick up coming with the new garage. It seems to have 3L Lightsaber bars on the roof, but that could have been photoshopped or something.)

There have been murmured whisperings of a Town Plan style fairground/ theme park set so this seems entirely possible.

Maybe the Indy Temple of Doom track could be put to use as a rollercoaster? It seems odd that they'd create a new mould just for that one set.

Thanks for those turbine pics, zzz. As suspected, they're nowhere near the scale of the Vestas promo.

I've just found three new pictures from the actual set of 7643 Airshow Plane Promo that a member of Brickshelf has uploaded.

Why promo? :hmpf_bad:

Thanks for the pictures!

This set is really great, I possibly do a review next month :classic:

So thanks for sharing.

I don't want to destroy anyone's hopes (since I would destory in this way my hopes, too). But I'm very sceptic about whether that wind power plant shown on this pic will be the official set 7747 Wind Turbine Transport:

1. I don't think that TLG will show pics of this set already three or four months before its release.

2. If this wind power plant on the pic is the one of 7747, why isn't then there the transporter for its turbine on the pic, too?!

3. The wind turbine looks very small. It was said that it should be smaller than the Vestas one - but that small?! If this is really the official set then that would be really disappointing.

4. There are always many buildings, vehicles, minifigs and accessory on those pics in Lego catalogues, Club magazines, ... which aren't official but only put there in order to have some additions to the official sets and make the layout looking nicer.

So seriously I really doubt that this will be the official set. :sceptic:

Here again I think I must disappoint you, svelte_corps.

It's highly supposably that some shop employees did describe 7747 wrong and so the rumour of a merry-go-round set arised.

I don't say that a fairground set is impossible - and like already mentioned this would be absolutely awesome and  and I surely would buy it even if it'll be up too 200 Euros (if so I'd have to let out some of this year's SW OT sets - but City has always first priority) - but imo it's very unlikely.

As for the rollercoaster: I regrettably don't see that happen - even not in 100 years. :cry_sad:

After seeing this I do not regret buying the parts for the vestas windmill (which should be ready by the end of this week! :sweet: ). If this is the set (I'm pretty sure it is...) it is very dissapointing compared to the vestas one.

By the way, somebody knows if the lovely car here is going to be a set or part of a set? :look:

the orange tow truck has doors (lovely orange ones  ! yes! ),

and it looks to me like the Wind Turbine Transport has a truck with red and a truck with yellow doors  !

and i thought i would be reduced to red striped vehicles for ever :cry_sad: , or to make do with taking a gamble :hmpf_bad: buying slightly scratched ones :sadnew: from bricklink to reduce the amount of red striped ness going on with my MOC's :cry_happy:

I don´t want to speak too soon, but this could be a good sign indeed. 7686 Helicopter Transport´s also equipped with these precious gems,

and I guess we all´ve already waited far too long for the return of those quite natural parts.

I´m really hoping that this grisly hoodoo´s going to end!

I too am quite glad that they are returning to the doors. I tend to build vehicles that Minifigures cannot actually fit in, though I do like having them have doors. Great job on this Lego.

Barry, please add your comments about new sets to the 2009 topic. Although your enthusiasm is appreciated, you don't have to start a new topic every time you make an observation. Thanks. :classic:

I totally agree with you, barry!

I would not only say that 2009 is the best year after a long time concerning City - I'd even say that 2009 is the best year for Lego City ever (until now - we don't know which awesome or not awesome sets we've to await in 2010 and later! :sweet: )!

TLG has really done a great job with (nearly) all the City sets of Lego Farm (this spring) and Lego Town (this summer) and I really hope that this glorious development will continue for the next years!

yes, i think with detailed 6 stud vehicles (with doors this summer  ), great designs and concepts they are gonna surpass the heady days of the eighties!

not to mention the Modular Standard, which we can adapt and modify to our own ends, for the creation of great buildings as well!

we are at the beginning of something special :cry_happy:

lego city on!

Gouns, you wrote that you'll be going to the Lego Store in Cologne this Monday. So I wanted to ask you if you found out something about whehter there's something the rumours of a marriage-go-round set. Did you find out something?

Btw: The "top secret information" which shall be posted in the next Lego Club magazine is surely some information on the new Space sets but surely not on a possible exclusive City set (which I highly doubt anyway).

Hi Klaus :)

It was fantastic yesterday ! I'm making a little film about the Cologne Lego Store, I've filmed all the store in two parts the video will be finish for monday , I'think . ( in www.brickactu.com  )

I've seen the 10194 in a beautiful glass-box with taj mahal ( <= sorry for writting :grin: ) and the medieval market ( 10193 i think ) .

My " personnal " seller ( only woman seller in the store  just one men ) during the two hours ( I've took my time ^^ ) have learnt ten years of french ! So the conversation was quite easy . She have said the 7747 will be aviable in the end of the year, probably the last trimester . I would buy the 10194 but they have just one 10194 in glass-box , she has said too, this set is for the moment aviable ONLY on the Shop At Home , to september minimum, after it's maybe possible aviable in the Lego Store she said too .

Sorry for my enlgish, and good afternoon all :)

A Freudian slip on the subject of marriage, Klaus-Dieter? Just teasing you, of course. If the rumors are indeed true, then could it be that this merry-go-round set is part of the Creator subtheme, just like the 4957 Ferris wheel?

So you didn't find out something about a rumoured marriage-go-round set, Gouns?

If the rumors are indeed true, then could it be that this merry-go-round set is part of the Creator subtheme, just like the 4957 Ferris wheel?

I already thought about that, too, Pierre_Cochereau!

But emilec wrote that a shop employee said that there'll be a marry-go-round set along the line of Town Plan - so no Creator set (supposably because of a misunderstanding - so very supposably there'll be not such a set - very regrettably).

It would btw make no sense to release a Creator marriage-go-round set as an exclusive set since there surely wouldn't be less people when it would be sold only via S@H, the Lego Stores and perhaps some other special shops since Creator sets are mainly there for JFOLs.
