Holodoc Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I would buy the 10194 but they have just one 10194 in glass-box , she has said too, this set is for the moment aviable ONLY on the Shop At Home , to september minimum, after it's maybe possible aviable in the Lego Store she said too . Now that is very strange, for the personnel at the Lego Store Oberhausen told me, they had the shelves filled with 10194, BUT are not allowed to sell it before april, 15th. It will definitely be available in the stores! And I will get my copy next wednesday. Nothing beats well informed employees... Quote
Ricecracker Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Nothing beats well informed employees... I always find it funny when Lego makes a press release online, but forgets to tell their customer service employees. Quote
jonwil Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Seeing those HQ pictures of the bus set has sealed it for me. I am DEFIANTLY buying one. Now if only TLG would put the new 1 x 6 x 3 windscreen/window/panel on PaB (oh and make it in Trans-Light-Blue and Trans-Clear too please) along with the 1 x 4 x 6 doors in both Smoke and Trans-Light-Blue (the trans-clear is already on PaB) I would be happy :) Quote
Gouns Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 So you didn't find out something about a rumoured marriage-go-round set, Gouns?Klaus-Dieter No, I were back in France whitout informations about this . I've just had informations about 7747 and 10194 . Sorry I'didn't have understood the question Klaus at the begining . Quote

Sorry I'didn't have understood the question Klaus at the begining . That's not bad, Gouns! My English is always surely not that good. It's a pity that you didn't find out something about this. Well, you can't do more than to try. Klaus-Dieter Quote
weelean Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 7642 Price €.90,- Do you think we should modify it......? Like example, add a big roof or shelves? Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) Thank you very much for the price information on the Garage set, legomilk! 90 Euros is imo not very cheap for this set. Of course it contains two big trucks, one pickup and a lot of accesory and playability. But there's nearly no building, no car doors (Why?! ) and only four minifigs. So I wouldn't say that it is overpriced - but a bit expensive. It may be as it is - I don't care about the price since I won't buy it - equally from how high the price is. Btw: So could we perhaps get the price of one of the two best City sets this year - the awesome 7641 City Life (the second best City set this year (after what we know until now) is imo the brilliant 7747 Wind Turbine Transport), too, please? legomilk Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 the 7747 and 7641 will both cost around 50 euros and are expected in June. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 the 7747 and 7641 will both cost around 50 euros and are expected in June. Thank you very much for this information, legomilk! Around 50 Euros for 7747 and around 50 Euros for 7641 is a really good price ratio performance! And that they'll be already out for sale in June is great! (Supposably they then will firstly be in the regular toy shops in August - but even better than September!) I can't await to get these two awesome sets plus the lovely Sports Car and the nice Tow Truck (and the SW OT sets)! Since they are already expected in June so there's perhaps even a little chance that there'll be an exclusive City set in fall of which we don't know yet - or at least I hope so! But it might even be that TLG keeps this fall empty with City sets in order because of many new sets of other themes (Space Police, secpnd wave of Power Miners and Castle. Well, let's see. BlueBard Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 the 7747 and 7641 will both cost around 50 euros and are expected in June. Yes, yes, yes! If it's true, we'll have to wait only until August, here! Quote
MarcusV3 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Wohooo!!!! Around 66 usd for city life! That's awesome!!! I don't know why but I thought it was 100 usd and I just happened to be complaining about that to myself today :P Yay for irony! Edit: Currency Translation: I thought it was aprox. 74 euros instead of 50 Woohooo! Edited April 13, 2009 by MarcusV3 Quote
Bricks Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Greetings guys! I found a VERY prelim. imagine of the City Advent Calendar 2009 -click here- (If it's too prelim.-> I can remove it ;D) 'Bricks' Quote
Holodoc Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 ... (If it's too prelim.-> I can remove it ;D) Well, I don´t think it´s too prelim - as you can hardly see anything new! We all know that there will be minifigs included, don´t we? What else does this picture say? But - phew - it´s good to see that we do get an advent calendar this year! Quote
Skipper 24 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Have these box pics of the upcoming sets been spotted yet? Quote
YG-49 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 You like posting boxes don't you? I'll get the Camper, though the fish grill could'a been better Quote

I just posted them because I assumed that they were new pics. The garage seems alright to me, lots of accessories and a couple of vehicles. Quote
SeaKing61 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I spotted the new sports car 8402, the tow truck 7638, the camper 7639 and city life 7641 at toys r us in the UK today. I picked up the cheaper 3 sets and i like them but i'm not completely impressed. It seem that TLG is cutting back on the number of 'unnecessary' bricks in order to keep the prices down. The Sports car has a gaping hole where the dashboard would be in a real car. Now i'm not expecting a little lego brick dashboard, but just a hole is a tad disappointing. I'll probably fill it with the extra 1x2 cheeseslope piece that is reported to come with City Life once I buy that. Some aspects of the tow truck seem a little unfinished too, plus for the first time in all my 17 years of collecting Lego, a set is missing a piece! My tow truck driver is hatless! I wouldn't really say that the cutbacks take anything away from the sets. They're both well designed, good looking sets. I'm gonna build the camper later, hopefully it'll have all its pieces Laurie Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 After we got the awesome 10184 Town Plan last year I'm now a bit disappointed that TLG doesn't offer exclusive big City set to us this year, too. But supposably that's because of there are a lot of big (City) sets out this year already anyway. Klaus-Dieter Quote

They still have December items to release and besides, They didn't tell us about Emerald Night until two months before it's release. Quote
jonwil Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Given that TLG seems to consider trains as part of Town/City (the RC train sets say "city" on the box), maybe the Emerald Night IS our exclusive set for this year... Quote
